Chapter7- New Year, New me

1 year later- Cole's POV

I just got back from the trip to New Jersey to visit my family for the holidays. I tried my best not to think about what happened between me and Beth but I couldn't help it. I tried calling her but she never answered. My dad pulled up and I looked outside and saw a new car parked in front of Beth's house my dad banged on the window telling me to get out. I exited the car and went to the trunk of my dad's car and got my suitcases and brought them to my bedroom, I opened my blinds and looked at Beth's room, the blinds we're closed but there was a car there that I've never seen there before and she is living alone still but her dad is probably gonna come back from jail. I went down stairs and entered my kitchen and got things I would need for a sandwich and my dad came in, looked at me then said, "Are you going to see her again?" My eyes.opened wide and I looked up at him. "Ummm... I don't know dad? We're not really talking right now." I said looking back down at my sandwich. He walked towards me then stood right by me and pulled me into a hug. "You're not a bad person Cole, and you need to say sorry or do something about you too! I can't see you like this-"

"Like what?" I said cutting him off and pushing him away from me. "Hurt, sad, depressed, it- you don't feel like my little boy anymore, and I miss you, so please do something!" My dad left the kitchen and I slid my fingers trough my hair and I went back to making my sandwich.

Beth's POV

I just got home and Cole still hadn't arrived, I know I said we should take some time away from each other but I can't get him out my head. During Christmas break he was calling non-stop, it was so hard to ignore his calls I wanted to here his voice even if it we're just for a second. I finally got a car so I didn't have to walk to school and get milkshake thrown at me. The only way I earned that car was from getting a job, so basically the only thing I did this entire break was work to get the money for the car. When I entered my house I locked the door and went to my room. I grabbed my note book, sat on my bed and started writing in it. I was writing about what I did this summer then I just went in to writing about Cole and how I missed him so much. After a few minutes of writing in my note book I got bored so I I'mdecided to go to make some food and a drink, went out side and sat on my hammock and started eating. "Hey, Elizabeth right?" I looked at Cole's house and I saw Cole's little sister at the fence putting a wall between mine and Cole's house trying to see me. I put my food down, walked over to her and helped her up and carried her  and said, "Yeah.. And who are you, you little cutie?" She giggled and said, "My name is Rose, I seen you with my brother before. Are his girlfriend?" my eyes opened wide and I laughed. "No, I- just a friend."

"ROSE!" I heard from Cole's house and I looked up over there. "Umm, COLE over here." I said looking at him and waving. He looked at me and he froze. "Ummm I'm sorry she just uhh asked me a question and I-uhh picked her up cause she couldn't see me so you know i- here you go." I walked up to the fence and gave him Rose. "Bye Beth." Rose said waiving, "Bye." I said waiving back. Cole put Rose down and I looked at her, she waved at me again and I did too. I walked back to my hammock to finish my food but then Cole stoped me and said, "Hey uh Beth can we talk? Please!" I turned around and looked at him, "Uhh... Ya sure let's uhh go inside." I said looking at my house and back at him closing my eyes then opening them and slightly smiling.

Cole's POV

Beth went inside her backyard door and I snapped my finger and walked inside and left as went right next door to hers and knocked, she answered the door and let me in. "You can sit on the couch if you want and uhh do want something to drink or uhh?" She said walking to her kitchen. " Umm sure." I said to her smiling. She brought some lemonade for her and I and she sat down. "You're little sister is really cute." She said taking a sip of lemonade, "Oh uhh thanks she's very curious about things, that's probably why she ended up in your backyard." She looked down and giggled "Yeah." It was silent and then I looked at her and just smiled, "What?" She giggled as well as looking at me, " Nothing it's just I missed you so much and I wanted to here your voice all break.

Beth smiles the said, "Me too." I put my drink down and so did she. I looked at her hand and it was on the couch flat so I reached my hand over to hers which caused are hands to touch. She looked at me and smiled, she grabbed my hand and pulled me to outside to her drive through. She had keys in her pocket and she unlocked the car that was there. "Is this you car?" She nods and got in. I entered the car and she started driving somewhere. "Where are we going?" I said looking at her. "Green Water River." She said keeping her eyes on the road. I smiled and laughed a little.

We were at Green Water River and she and I both got out the car. She smiled at me then ran to the water and started undressing. She was in her underwear and bra, she got in the water and she started splashing the water everywhere. "COME ON! IT'S NICE AND FRESH!" She yelled. I ran over there and took of my clothes then I was only in my black boxers, I ran in and started splashing her. She was telling and covering her face I ran towards her an picked her up. She laughed as hard as she could and yelled, "WHOOO!" She trough her hands up and took out her hair. I put her down and she looked up at me and hugged me tightly. I pushed her away slowly and cupped her face then pulled her into a strong kiss. My hands trailed down her body and I grabbed on to her waist, she put her hands around my neck and slid her hand through my hair. I slid my tongue in her mouth and played with hers. We pulled away from each other and put our foreheads together and our warm breaths were on each other's face. She smiled and I moved some of her hair away from her face and put it behind her ear.

Narrators POV- The next day

Cole woke up and he checked the time then got up and looked outside his window into Beth's and she passed by then went back and walked towards her window, waved at Cole and smiled, he smiled back and went to get dressed and so did she. He picked out a black short sleeve shirt and some white ripped jeans and put on a belt with some white converse and his hair messed up. Beth wore some white sort shorts that showed some of her ass cheeks with a white and blue striped shirt and sandals with a long white jacket. She went outside and so did Cole. Cole's dad came outside and said, "Cole where you going?" Beth walked up to Cole and kissed his cheek. "Uhh me and Beth are going to shop for swimming suites and clothes for summer then eat some lunch." Cole said while putting his arm around Beth's waist while she rest her head on his chest. "Hi Mr.James!" Beth says while smiling and waving at Cole's dad. "Oh uh. Hi Beth, well umm have fun." He said while smiling. Cole and Beth got into Cole's car and he started driving to the mall.

Cole found somewhere to park and he did then they both got out the car. Beth put on some sunglasses and ran up to Cole, put her arm through his and crossed there fingers together. He looked down at her and smiled and she looked up at him and smiled back. They walked in the mall and went into the store called Penny's. Beth looked at some of the bathing suits and found a one piece. It had flowers all over it and the background was a light sky blue with pearls on the straps and it was a deep V neck. She found some black swimming trunks with a white line going down the sides of the trunks. "Look at these Cole, what do you think?" He turned around and looked at the swimming trunks. " I like them." She smiled wide and they went to the checkout and left the store then went to H&M. They bought some summer clothes and after they went to get something to eat at Bob's diner. They drove there and parked.

Beth and Cole walked into Bob's diner and sat in a booth across from each other. They ordered a chocolate milkshake for one and shared it together and got some food. After a short period of laughed and chatting, Cole and Beth were about to leave but then the bell to Bob's diner rang and it was Beth's dad.

Beth's POV

My dad walked into Bob's and he looked furious. He looked around and he then caught my eye's. My eyes were wide open and I was just standing there. Cole grabbed his jacket and he pulled me by my arm. "HEY HEY BACK HERE!" My dad yelled, Cole and me were outside and he was looking for his keys. " HURRY UP COLE!" I yelled at him and he found the keys and unlocked the car. My dad came running and I moved fast but my dad still got to me. He pulled me out the car and through me on the ground. "Dad what do you want!?" He came up to me and punched me in the face. My entire body was covered in mud and dirt and water mixed with oil. I got up and looked at my dad strait in the eyes, "Fuck You Dad." I punched him and ran to Cole's car I got a gun that he had in there for emergencies. I pointed the gun at his head and I was crying.         E-Elizabeth what the h-hell are you doing?!" I looked at him closely and I said, "Ending my misery BITCH!"
