I looked out the cart, we had been on the road for a day now. I was beginning to get restless, I was sure news had spread by now of Jusurai falling. I watched as we were pulled up a mountain, several other carts were behind us carrying grieving mothers and crying children. No one knew who would see their loved ones again. I looked at my two friends, we would do amazing things together, I would make my fater proud. Nobody really wanted to talk in our cart, we were all thinking the same thing, how would this end for us? That question had been burned into my head, the sight of my father always follwoing it. As night once again fell on us, I could feel myself for the first time crying. I came to the realization that my father was never gonna be around again. Silently the tears rolled down my face, as I looked into the moon and chanted a parayer. That was when I felt a head lean on my shoulder. I looked down to see Nassi, and that made me really cry, and she just sat there. Curi also patted me on the shoulder, "thanks guys.. ill be alright dont worry" they just nodded. Curi went back to sleep but Nassi stayed with me, silent as ever, just knowing what I was thinking, I was thankful for her. I was always much more closer to her then Curi. I just looked back up at the stars and fell asleep. I had a strange dream that night, everything around me was covered in flames, a bright and orange devil that seemed to loom above where I was. There were screams all around me, the screams of a thousand terrified people, I could feel the heat was so intense. Suddenly I woke up, a cold sweat dripping down my face, we had stopped on the side of the road next to a farm. I think we still had a day to go before we got to Hurai. My friends were both asleep, Curi was curled up in the corner of the wagon his face twitching as he dreamt. Nassi was right next to me, where she was before i had fallen asleep. I smiled, this was the only time that she looked at easy and let her guard down. Her long hair was draped over her face. I hopped out of the cart to stretch my legs, I sighed and looked at the ground, the moonlight illuminating a puddle where i could see my own face. I frowned and started to walk I would make sure not to go far, just a little walk. The guard driving the cart was asleep next to it. I walked down the hill towards the farm fields. on the edges were nice flowers of all colors. I sat down in them, and just relaxed smelling the scents and feeling the dew on me. I closed my eyes and let my thoughts carry me, just relaxing and seeing all my memorys of my home, the home I no longer had. After an hour I stood up and headed back up the hill, the sun was still down. I got back into the cart to see Curi starring at me, "couldnt sleep huh?" he asked me. I looked down at my feet "not really, too much on my mind" he just nodded. "What do you think will become of this?" he asked "honestly, im not too sure" we looked at each other and understood. We knew the other was scared, but we'd stick together no matter what. "We should get some sleep" I told him and he just nodded turned around and laid down. I sat there letting my thoughts run wild as the sun came up, I felt the scar on my face and thought of how it happened. No, now wasnt the time. I watched as the sun came up, it was always a such a lovely sight. I felt Nassi stiring next to me waking up. I continued to stare at the country side, I had never been to Hurai, I wondered what it looked like. Soon the guard woke up and we were on our way. Nassi and I talked abour our excitment to see Hurai and what it was like. Soon there was nothing to talk about and we rode in silence, she grabbed my arm and i looked up "you ok?" I could see the worry in her eyes "yeah, yeah im fine thanks, its hard but ill be alright" I gave her a small smile. She nodded and after awhile let my arm go, that was strange. She wasnt usually one to seem caring like that, it was a nice sight though. After another hour of silence we finally saw it, the palace of Hurai, it was breathtaking. The gates were giant stone gates with a dragon gate. It was built on a mountain. We all looked at eachother and couldnt wait, this is where we would grow up. Where we would train. Who knew what could happen.
