"I would never, Steven," she promised, turning away from him in an attempt to protect herself.
"I know you wouldn't," he screamed at her. Cupping her chin in his hand, he forced her to look at him. "Because I would kill you."
His words hung heavy in the air.
Sarah's heart sank into her stomach. No matter how many times she had heard the menacing phrase, she could never get used to it. It had the same affect on her as the first time he'd thrown the ugly words in her face.
The familiar sting of bile rose in her throat, and she knew she would deplete the contents of her stomach once she was locked in the safety of their master bath.
'If I make it through this time,' she agonized.
Her biggest fear was that one day he would really lose his temper with her.
Who knew what would happen then?
So this is the book I talked about in the last part! I haven’t finished it yet, but I know I’m gonna love it so what the hell, might as well do a review on it now.
I don’t want to spoil anything for you, so it’s basically the story of Sarah, a woman who had a troubled past (trying not to spoil this for you…) and tries to run away from it.
I think this is the first Mystery/Thriller book I’ve ever read on Wattpad, and I freaking love it! The storyline is just so amazing and well written (I just love it when the writer uses proper spelling and grammar… even though I don’t), and I just bond with the characters. Each chapter is in a different POV so I think it’s really cool that we can see a perspective from every character and kinda understand their personality, you know?
Anyways, this is a really good book and like I said, it’s the first Mystery/Thriller book I’ve read so I recommend it if you’re into that type of books. If you’re not… well I still think you should give it a try. It’s really cool!
PS: I noticed it says “Book One” in the title… maybe I should expect a Book Two?? :D
