Sisters before Misters

chapter 4

I woke up to a pounding feeling on my forehead and a scratchy throat , my stomach was cramping and I was sneezing .

I went down the stairs but ended up falling down and landing on my pounding head . Just great my headache is gonna get worse now . As I stood up I felt dizzy and light headed luckily my dad came  down to help me .

Sweety you look sick . Said my dad touching my forehead .

Yah you have a fever .said my dad rubbing my back as we went into the kitchen . It smells like pancake batter and bacon . The smell was so overpowering I wanted to throw up . Mabye it's because of the fever but a part of me also wants to eat it . Cause my mom makes the best .

Zoey honey!! are you ok ?? My mom came to me touching my forehead .

I'm ok- but I was coughing and it feels like I'm coughing my lungs out .

"Oh Zoey you are not going to school "said my mom rubbing my back as I drank the water my dad brought to me .

I just nodded my head I feel so tired and dizzy I don't think I can survive at school today or at the salon.

~A few hours later~

It's 3pm and my parents only come home 6 so usually when I come home from school or the salon I either clean or cook but today I can't cause I'm sick so mom's bring take outs .

I'm currently sitting in the living room on the couch with , multiple layers of blankets , tissues , medicine and tea that I made I'm watching episodes of "Jane the Virgin" and sipping on my tea when I heard a knock on the door . I groaned and dragged myself to the door . I opened the door to see my sister , Xander and Xaiver ..wait Xaiver!!!  Wait is he doing here and why is he here with my sister and her boyfriend unless ... Oh ! It all makes sense he's the brother Xander mentioned at dinner they other day . Know wonder the first time I saw him I knew he looked familiar.

I literally looked confused and my eyes look like they are gonna close and my nose is a little red . I try my best to stand straight but I almost tumbled over Beth but she keeps me up straight before I could fall.

I looked at all of them

"What are you guys doing here "?
I said raising a brow at them

They look startled for a moment but then Beth spoke.

"Mama said I should check up on you just to see if you're ok ". Beth said rubbing my shoulders then she touched my forehead .

Yep! you have a fever  don't worry I'll make you mamas  "special get well soup" . She winked at me but I just gave her a raised eyebrow she looked at were my brow was pointing and my eyes .

Oh ?! Xander wanted to see if you're ok but then we had to take his brother home but he wanted to see you . Beth said .

I look at the he brothers and raised a brow they both share the same grin .

We came inside and the boys sat  on the other couch that was on the on the right side of the living room . Beth was in the kitchen cooking up mamas get well soup .

I was sitting on the couch with the blankets over me and watching Jane the Virgin until Xaiver stood up he was walking around the living room observing the pictures and frames on the walls he was laughing at one were it is my 1st birthday and I had chocolate cake all over my face . I blushed in embarrassment but focused on watching .

"I don't understand this show "?  Said Xander suddenly.

I have him a confused look

"It's basically about a woman who got pregnant but never had sex in her life" . I said looking at Xander .
