I woke up to the great smell of pancakes. I walked downstairs realizing I didn't make my bed. Shoot no no that's not a mistake it is a misunderstanding.. no that's the wrong word! I can't think right now.. am I making mistakes? no no no.. I thought to myself. I was pacing up the stairs to make my bed quick.

"Honey why are you going back upstairs?" My father asked. He can't know I forgot something or did something wrong. I need to think of something quick.. uh..

"Oh well for Physical Education class we are told to work out more so I thought running up and down the stairs a couple times would do the job." I said with a sigh. Lies. That's a mistake too. My third mistake yet just THIS MORNING!

"Oh yeah we got the note last night! Maybe after breakfast you can go out for a quick jog, but after that come home and do your homework!" Mother said as a demand.

Wait.. what?! I was right?! I came back downstairs and stared at my family sitting down waiting for me. Being late. Mistake. I slowly walked to the table waiting to get yelled at.

"Don't eat too much because the government said everyone needs to be skinnier.. people are going over 200 pounds and that needs to change." I sighed as if weight is the only problem in this world. Why does my mom need to worry about my weight anyways? I'm perfect for my age, I don't want to get too skinny.

"Sorry I was late for breakfast mother, father.. I was worried about my weight of course and wanted to get a little exercise done."

"That's fine honey, since society cares more about weight than food.. They're even thinking about skipping lunch. I agree, no one need breaks in between work and school for food.. It should be straight 10 hours a day no food and no breaks." Again with my mother, I still remind myself she birthed me and I need to respect her but it gets so hard sometimes that I can't even speak to her. So I just politely nodded my head and smiled.

"Have her ever heard the quote 'Fake it until you make it'? No? Well you will.. if your future life-time.. from people who don't deserve to life. The people who make mistakes every single day.. and hide it! They are fake, untrustworthy people who don't do anything for the economy! and if you EVER meet someone like that! You must tell the state supervisor immediately because if you are caught hiding someone then you will not only be hung at night, but will be hung in the middle of the garden in front of your family. It is a new rule the government provided." The historian public provider announced.

'I make mistakes everyday.. EVERYDAY! Does this mean I am a fake, untrustworthy citizen who doesn't do anything for the economy? I go to to school and learn! That's something.. and if I get caught I will be hung in front of my parents! I can't help making mistakes though.. I might cry but that is a mistake too! I don't even know what is going through my mind right now! Maybe this is just a dream.. Yeah.. I dream.. More like a nightmare'

"Wow can you believe it? The government is becoming more wiser each day!" Makayla said loud enough for the historian provider to hear and he smiled. What even are the chances of that. I'm sitting here worrying for my life and Makayla just brushing everything off. PEOPLE ARE DYING BECAUSE A MISTAKE... One little mistake can cost their whole life. "Kacee you looked worried?"

"Me? No I'm just thinking about the test next period.. I don't know if I studied much or too much but I want to make sure I am going to ace it!"

"Are you okay? Are you hiding something from me?" Whispered Makayla.

"What? Me? I'm fine.. actually I was so happy yesterday because I got to workout and it really made me happier with my-" I was cut off.

Two men from the government came in. They were both tall, maybe even the same height. One with blonde and and one with almost black hair. "Kacee Smith.." The blonde said and everyone fell silent and starred at me.
