(Third Person's POV)
Death after death, there goes Richard. Sent from Cryberlife, tired and groaning in his head, Richard follows after another deviant.
After years of this, getting one after another he felt oddly... exhausted, bored. When will it end? He shouldn't, for an android that is. And soon, Gavin Reed was dead on a mission. Richard didn't mourn the loss of his owner, Gavin Reed was much of a crude person. A liar and a hypocrite. Gavin Reed, though he may be missed by some, whoever he had on his side that is, Richard was not one of them.
"So this is the Android huh?" Richard was so deep in thought, he didn't notice that a female had joined the lead chief of the juncture. A female companion? Oh no, Richard thought to himself. Gavin had always complained about females and how they were "all the same".
"Well it's yours now. We won't be needing it anymore." Chief Fowler said to her. Richard had already scanned her and her name is Renney Love, she is 24 and not actually a police officer, she is a florist. And they are getting rid of Richard.
"What's his name?" His? A gender for Richard? He did have male parts but-
"Richard." Fowler than left us there. We left the building once all the procedures are done and I'm connected with Renney.
"So, Richard, do you like music?" She asks the silent Android who was walking beside her.
"How did you acquire me?" He asks a question instead. He isn't much for conversation but his 'curiosity' got the best of him. 'Curiosity' speaking of which was fake for him since his programmed 'emotions' aren't real and he isn't a deviant. No, not at all.
"Um okay... well I saw the ad on my phone from the police station my buddy Hank works at and I noticed that it said an Android was getting thrown out back to Cyberlife. So I decided to hop on by and get you." She finished simply. Should he feel grateful to this stranger? No, not at all. He would have preferred going back to Cyberlife. This human female seemed rather boring. They finally made it to her house, having taken a Cyberbus. Richard had gotten to stand in the back with the other androids, to which he didn't mind at all, it was his natural place. But Renney decided to sit by them, closely to the side where Richard stood. His LED went yellow then blue. He shouldn't care. And besides, didn't he believe that this human was boring?
"DOWNTOWN DETROIT!" The bus driver announced. Richard looked at Renney as she stood and walked off of the bus. The android did the same as their owner and left the bus. And so did a few other's and their androids.
"We gotta walk a bit away from the stop but it's not too far." Renney spoke to Richard once they were off the Cyberbus. Richard walked just a foot exactly behind his new owner. Should he ask some things about the house? Rules? Any pets or unruly children? But it seems that Renney had already planned on telling him everything there is to know. Almost too much information. Richard listened intently though and tried to ignore some parts.
"Okay so, I have a two story house. Four if you count the attic and the basement. It's a pretty nice place. The yard is okay, kinda small if you ask me. I'm not rich, I'm a florist. I assume you already knew because you scanned me when I first arrived." How did she know?
"And then I do have a cat. His name is Rufus. He is a Siamese jackass. He hates new people but I'm sure he will warm up to you since you probably won't like him or give him attention. He seems that shit out just to fucking reject it. Talk about attention whore." That part was blocked out.
"Okay this is it!" And they turned down a cement pathway, with some long steps that lead all the way to the door. Richard stood beside Renney as she unlocked the door with a secret code. She looked up at him, to make sure he saw it. He gave a curt nod. It was as if they were telepathically speaking.
"Ah! Hey there Rufus!" Renney smiled at her sweet cat. Renney picked up the feline and rubbed his head with two fingers, just between his ears. Richard heard the cat purr at the feeling, Rufus closed his eyes as well.
"Aw so sweet~" Renney set the cat down and locked the door behind Richard. Richard stepped back as not to be too close to Renney. She didn't mind or seem to notice.
"Now, time for some house rules. Go take a seat on the couch. I'll be right there, gotta clean Rufus' litter box." And Renney left into the downstairs bathroom, the door being open as to ensure the cat was able to get to the litter box.
Richard looked around the home and finally sat down on the soft red sofa. It was fuzzy, like it was a loveseat. It made Richard slightly "nervous". What did she do on this seat with others? Ick.
"Okay! I'm back!" Renney walked into the room and sat closely to Richard. He wasn't sure if he should scoot over. It made him "uncomfortable" but he didn't want to in case she meant to sit that close.
"So the first main rule, do as you please within reason. Like if you want to take a bath or shower, go right ahead. If you wanna go out and buy stuff, go ahead, but be cautious about money. And then the second rule is to be safe. It is way more important than the first one. Do not risk yourself for me. You can risk yourself for Rufus by be mindful about your welfare too." She explained to Richard openly. She seemed very keen on keeping Richard for a while. Should Richard now feel grateful? No, not at all. Richard didn't really want to convert from a police officer to being a housewife for some human female.
"On most days, I'll probably take you with me to the shop. Rufus usually comes with me too if he is up for it, but he loves to eat the plants. It's honestly annoying. The customers love seeing his fussy ass though!" Renney chuckled. Rufus hopped onto Richard's lap and wiggled his little head under Richard's palm. Richard pet the cat, from the head to the bottom. Rufus' back curved and his bottom reached the sky when Richard's hand came to it.
"Haha! I knew he would like you! Little attention seeker!" Renney reached over to scratch Rufus' head a little and Rufus started to purr.
"I got him when he was a really small kitten. He was the runt of his litter it seemed so his mom abandoned him on the road near the highway. It wasn't the best spot for such a small dying kitten. I saw him when I was driving and almost crashed the car! I had to kinda park to the side since it's a highway and everyone is going hella fast. So I picked up that little runt and brought him home. He had flees and maggots and all these worms on him. Absolutely disgusting. But I love him a lot, he still has some trauma stuff with other beings but he does try. Huh, Rufus?" Renney asked the cat. And Rufus meowed at Renney. Richard listened to the story. He didn't know what to feel or say so he just watched silently. It seems that Renney does indeed have an interestingly big heart.
"Oh shit! It's hella late! Damn it I gotta get up early tomorrow to tend to the shop!" Renney cursed suddenly. She stood up quickly, which made Rufus jump up as well. He jumped onto Renney's shoulders and climbed onto her with his claws digging into her flesh. Renney didn't really mind that either. Richard stood and looked for things to clean as Renney made her way into the kitchen.
"Rich! Come here!" Richard heard her call. Richard came into the kitchen and was almost surprised at the sight. Renney had let down her hair from the tight ponytail and was looking in the fridge, bent over slightly. What was this odd most likely programmed feeling. His pants felt slightly tighter.
"I got some blue blood in here. Just in case of anything. There is more in the freezer and I have parts for you in the basement so if you ever need to replace anything, feel free-um, Richard?" Renney asked and looked back at Richard. Richard had made his way over to her, and had almost touched her hips with his hands. Renney was blushing as she straightened herself up and turned to realize how close Richard was. Richard's LED was flashing red.
"Are you okay?" Renney asked worriedly. Richard gulped. Should he tell her what just happened in his mind? Yes. Maybe she knows how to prevent it from happening again.
"I was thinking about you." He stated to her. He didn't really know how to tell her any of this! This has never happened before. He felt Dangerously Undone...
