Ezio's eyes landed on a message at the end of the skill and abilities section as he goes through his stats.

"10,000 Exp needed to max a skill?" He muttered.

(Can I use potions to level them up?) He thought and clicked on Darkness manipulation, the next moment another window popped up which shows all the information on Darkness Manipulation but what truly attracted his attention is the consume button at the right-hand top corner of the window.

[Demons can create and manipulate a mysterious dark substance to enhance both their offensive and defensive abilities. It has been shown to form various weapons and to protect them from attacks that would otherwise cause serious injury. It can also be morphed into various shapes.]

He thought for some time and clicked on consume, just then another small window popped up with four Exp potions on it.

"Is it telling me to choose?" He muttered and chose 4-star Exp that grants 15,000 Exp points.

[Darkness manipulation has evolved to Primordial Darkness Manipulation] As he saw the message he felt unimaginable pain ran through his body. The blue sky above darkened, cracks began peeling away rapidly and expanding outward through the sky and out of the void came a colossus pillar of menacing dark substance crashing into the earth, right on Ezio.

"W-What t-the hell is going on..." Ezio gritted his teeth in pain and looked down at his body, what Ezio saw next shocked him beyond words, the dark substance that crushed on his body out of nowhere is now tearing through his flesh and becoming one with his body.

He tried to free himself but the pain was so much that he couldn't move an inch, all he could do watch and writhe in agony as the darkness tear his flesh. Crimson red blood oozed out of his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears and his vision blurred.

(I will never use potions on skills and abilities ever again!) Ezio thought before falling down on the ground.

After an unknown time, Ezio opened his eyes and found him lying in his room, he looked around and saw a cute little bunny girl dozing off on a small stool beside his bed.

"M-Mia!!" He called out gently. Mia ears that are down instantly stood up with a jolt, she opened her beautiful pink eyes and looked at Ezio.

"U-Uncle Meliodas!" She cried out and immediately jumped down from the stool and pounced over and hugged his neck like a koala.

However, at the same time, little Mia started to cry with a "Wu" sound. Ezio raised his bandaged cover hand and gently placed it on her head.

"Uncle Meliodas Mia was so scared, Mia was so scared..." She tightens her grief around his neck and sobbed. If it was normal human being they would have died by now due to suffocation but, he is nothing like normal.

"It's okay Mia, your uncle is fine now..." Ezio caressed her head and comfort her softly. On feeling the warm touch of his hands the little kid gradually calmed down after a period of time.

"Bad Uncle why did you go alone there?" Mia pouted and pinched his cheeks.

"Uncle had to find some ingredients so..." All of a sudden, the door of the room was fiercely pushed upon, and the residents of his house swarmed in.

"Yo!" Ezio who was covered in bandages sat on the bed and greeted them while holding Mia in his embrace.

"Really now..." Naofumi sighed and he rubbed his head forehead. When they find Ezio he was on the verge of dying but, now on seeing the carefree expression on Ezio's face, Naofumi was at a loss of words.

"Uncle Meliodas...!!" Like a mother lecturing her unruly child, Raphatalia started to lecture Ezio.

"You know how worried we were...!!!"
