To Be So Lonely

"Lilly, get out of my room, you're so fucking annoying," Ava scowled, not looking up from her phone as she dismissed her sister. There was no point in wasting time to cast a glance at Lilly, she was always the same- really obnoxious. "Lilly, I'm not stupid, I can still hear you, get out!"

"Why?" Lilly whined, for some reason not budging from where she stood in the doorway. "I just want to-."

"Do you think I care?" Ava sighed, barely listening to her sister's antics. Leaning back as she yawned, she opened up Instagram and clicked on Harry's recent post. Scanning the picture, a billion thoughts circulated her mind as she analyzed what she saw. It was, to the say the least, a ransom note; it read, "mEet US @ tHE viCarAgE." No caption... and the comments were turned off? Holding back laughter, she realized that this must be his PR team's way of promoting an upcoming single. "Ransom sounds like the name of a good song," Ava concluded.

Once her sister had left, she got up from where she lay sprawled across the bed with the intention of getting a snack. There was only one viable option to eat at 10:31 PM- Goldfish Xtra Cheddar.

As she opened the cupboards, a rustling noise came from the living room. Figuring that it was probably Lilly, Ava ignored the sound, grabbing her favorite snack and shoving a handful into her mouth.

"We're going to run out of those if you eat them at the rate you're going," a voice more mature than she expected commented.

"Mom? I thought you were asleep?" Ava said as she munched on Goldfish.

"I was but then my phone notifications went off and woke me back up. Who did you think was in the living room?" her mother responded, entering the kitchen.

"Lilly."

"She has been awfully noisy these days, hasn't she? I can't stand the quarantine with her in the house," her mother remarked.

"Tsk," Ava held back a smirk. As she made her way past her mother, a notification sounded on her phone. A wave of excitement hit her as she read it. Harry Styles was going live on Instagram. As quickly as possible, she hurried back to her room, shutting the door completely. Rather than hearing Harry's sexy voice accompanied by a mouthwatering accent, she heard a foreign and unfamiliar growl.

"We've got him in our hands," the voice grumbled, almost blending in with the chaotic background noise. "Meet us where we specified with a billion pounds. Serious inquiries only." Behind him, Ava could barely make out Harry's ragged moans. As sudden as it began, the live ended.

"Um... okay," a confused look was plastered on Ava's face. Other Harries might've thought that the situation wasn't serious- she didn't think much of it at first either. However, there was no doubt that something was fishy here, and Ava had very good vaginal health so she knew it wasn't her. I hope he's fine, she thought, he's the literal perfect man. He makes me feel so happy... I don't know what I'd do without him. To be so lonely- I wouldn't be able to survive. That's it, she decided. If he was in danger, she would save him.

Jumping up from her bed, Ava scurried to her closet and dug out a backpack that was buried under random paraphernalia. Black and small with a hidden compartment, she knew that it'd be essential in her journey. Returning to her bedside, she shoved her phone in her pocket along with a wad of saved up cash and her debit card. Yanking her charger out, she threw it in the backpack. She then rummaged through her dresser, pulling out inconspicuous clothing so as to not get caught during her travels. No matter what, she'd find him.

Exiting her room for what she prayed wouldn't be the last time, Ava said a silent farewell to the comforts of her upper-middle class lifestyle. Turning toward Lilly's room, she flipped off her sister who was probably inside complaining about her to seem cool. Finally, she tried her best to be quiet as she sneaked down the stairs.
