Chapter 9

CHAPTER: THE RIDE HOME

Yugi's POV

He heard me, I knew he had heard me. But I guess there was no going back now. I just had to act as if nothing I said was actually said.

"Can we please go home. I hate hospitals" I said holding onto Hebas arm tightly.

"Yes, I know you do" Heba said with a light smile.

I knew I was in for it when we got home. I can just hear the rant when we got home.

"What the hell Yugi!?"

"Why would you do this!?"

"What was going through your mind!?"

And variations of those.

We got in the car and my favorite song came on. I just sang along in my head, I never was a good singer anyway.

"Yugi, we are going to have a long talk when we get home" Heba said from the seat beside me.

"But Heba, I never meant for really any of this to happen" I said with a shrug.

"That isn't the point. The point is that it happened!" Heba yelled.

"How would you feel if Atem would've rejected you?" I asked almost shouting in his face.

He looked hurt, like really hurt. I had never yelled at him before. But at least  now he knew how serious this was.

"Yugi, I see what you mean, but you could've at least talked about it with me. I even offered to talk about it"

"You were too angry to think straight. All you were thinking was of ways to kill yami. I couldbt deal with that, so I didnt talk about it" I responded.

He was about to say something, but then shut his mouth. He looked as though he agreedw ith me. He understood, at least  a little bit, what I  was going through.

"Yugi, I.."

"Yami, shut it" Heba growled.

"Heba..." I warned.

He always did have a temper problem. I was always the  one who calmed him down. It was like I was the older brother, comforting my younger brother.

"I have to agree Heba, try to calm down" Atemu said keeping his eyes on the road.

"Fine" Heba said looking out of the window. Something tells me that Atemu will get a huge yelling match with Heba later.

"Yami, we will talk once we are at home" I said sternly.

Yami just nodded and returned his view to th outside world. Today was going to be the hardest emotionally to deal with and I hope its okay as hard as I'm imagining.
