"Mama I think that you need to calm down a bit with pressuring Yumna for marriage, she's still so young." Yunus stated politely.

We were all having a family meeting to discuss the pressure I had on my shoulders.

"What's wrong with getting married now?" My mom asked looking around at all of us.

"Nothings weong with it I just don't understand anyone you choose they're all so...not compatible for me at all. Why can't I just have some time?" I sighed.

"Look mama you pressured me into getting married it was very difficult for me and I was so stressed out. I was lucky enough to find Haseeb. Don't you think it's better to take it slow give her time to find someone nice and maybe for you to look as well? Wouldn't it be better to take it slow and have her be happy than to rush and risk her being unhappy with her marriage?" Sarah questioned.

"Wow you kids think you're all so grown now huh?" My mom gasped.

"I am. I'm married and I have a child of my own so I can see from your perspective and Yumnas." Sarah countered.

"Look I'm not saying don't look, go ahead look but if I say no I don't want you to give me a lecture about it at the end and make me feel guilty like you have been for the past proposals I've turned down." I explained my dad nodded.

"You have to see her side love, if you force her the marriage won't be valid anyways and we'll sin. She's not saying no just to play games." My dad said. "Kids I want to talk to your mother alone."

"Alright." We all nodded and went to my room.

"It'll all be fine." Sarah assured me. I nodded hoping that she was right. It made me angry because I knew the only reason my mom was being so extra about this whole me getting married was because of her parents.

"It's stupid that she's letting them put ideas into her head but mama is also the youngest sibling so its easier for her to get influenced by her family." Yunus shrugged.

"Yusha go over to Samina Aunty and give her this. Also ask Yumna how she is for me." My mother said to Yusha who was sitting on the dining table doing work.

"Sorry Mama I'm doing work right now Ill go in a bit." Yusha said my mother waved him off.

"What's wrong with Yumna?" I asked out of curiosity. My mother chuckled.

"Nothing I just like talking to her. Yusha why don't you call her over?" My mother asked nudging Yusha who was too invested in his work to listen.

"Sometimes I think you and Aba like Yumna more than us." Aj joked right as my dad walked in.

"Well yes. She's a very good and nice girl. Very polite. She's also like our daughter so it makes sense." My dad stated as my mom nodded in agreement.

"Yeah Yumna? Come over...what do you why? do I have to give you a reason come over you have two minutes." Yusha stated and hung up. I shook my head at him.

"You're so weird." I said mama gasped.

"Yusha what if you and Yumna get married? Samina and I always thought it would happen." Mama said as the front door opened then closed.

"Asalamualaikum." Yumna greeted being dragged into the kitchen by Isla holding her hand.

"Walaikumasalam." we all greeted back.
