I'm woken by my phone ringing. I roll over sleepily. With my eyes still shut I feel around my bedside table for my phone. Once I found it i bring the phone to my ear and let out a tired what.
"Ring ring"
"Agh" I scream
I didn't bloody accept the call.
I touch the accept button and bring it back to my hear and angrily breath out a what.
"Where the fuck are you" screams an angry Georgia.
"In my bed" I reply still sleepy.
"You were supposed to pick me up at four" she angrily States.
"What it's already four" I say sitting up confused. I check my watch and sure enough it says 4:15. Oh shit I slept that long, why didn't my alarm go of?
"Omg I'm so sorry I'll be round in half an hour" I exclaim hopping out of bed.
"Fine." She huffs "but don't forget the cookies".
I go to answer but she already has hung up.
I sit in front of my dresser and quickly brush through my hair and decide to let my beachy waves flow free, I don't have time to straighten it anyway. I rush through my makeup keeping It natural, concealer, bronzer, a subtitle cat eye and mascara. I quickly get changed into black skinny jeans, a vintage white shirt with an old vinyl band print, black leather jacket, beneath it a speckled jumper and grey beanie to top it off. I run down stairs and grab the Christmas cookies and my bag and head out the door.
I get into my car and take a breather. I look around and realise it's still dark. I grab my phone and check the time. 4 fucking 30 in the morning. I angrily type in Georgia's number and wait for her to pick up.
"Are you here yet" she asks impatiently.
"No. I just checked the bloody time and the concert Does not start for ages because it fucking 4:30 in the morning." I shout back down the phone.
"Yeah and you where supposed do be here half an hour ago" she replies not taken aback by my out burst.
"Wait so when you said four in the text you didn't mean 4pm you meant 4am" I reply annoyed.
"Yeah" she replies slowly "what other time. like I'd wanna get there after four pm."
"Oh" I say dumbly.
"Oh" she says back.
"Be there in ten" I slowly say back and hang up.
....Ten minutes later....
I pull up in Georgia's driveway and see her waiting at the porch. She runs over and jumps in the passenger seat.
"Its about time" she chatters. Placing her hands in front of the heater " its bloody freezing out there".
"I would think so it does say like -3 degrees on the car out door reader heat thing." I laugh back waving my hands at the thing.
She joins in for bit then suddenly stops and looks at me.
"Why are you not driving" she questioned.
"Oh right" I laugh dumbly.
I start the car and drive off to the stadium.
...5 o'clock...
It's been over 10 hours that Georgia has made us wait in this queue. I am beyond bored and to make matters worse we only had one blanket to share and it's bloody freezing I wish I'd worn my coat.
"When are they gonna let us in" I say with my teeth chattering.
"Soon. on our tickets it says the gates open at 5:30and then the concert starts at 6:45" she says back.
"I'm gonna get us a drink I'll be quick I promise" I say standing. "
"Ok hurry cause you'll miss getting in" she warns. " I wont wait for you"
"Ok" I call running of to the near by star bucks.
I walk into the shop and greeted by a warm rush of wind, finally I can feel my feet. I walk over to the small queue and wait behind a tall curly haired boy.
Soon it's my turn to order.
"Can I please have two white hot chocolates, one with no marshmallows and skim milk in both" I say politely putting the money down on the table.
The wait for my drinks is short and within a minute mine are done. As I exist the shop the man with curly hair in front of me stops suddenly and turns around and of course Rams straight into me, spilling his ice cold cup of water on me as well as knocking me over.
"Agh" I gasp out. my whole jumper is soaked and it's bloody freezing and I just had cold as fuck water dumped on me. Dammit and I dropped the white hot chocolates in the floor, today really is not my day!
"Shit" the boy says holding out his hand to help me up " I'm so sorry".
" I take it and he pulls me up.
"It's alright" I chatter back wrapping my arms around my body in an attempt to keep me warm.
I start to walk off but he grabs my arm and tuggs me back. I turn and look at him.
"You can't walk around soaked in cold water in this weather you'll catch a cold." he says tilting his head to the side a bit.
"It's fine really" I say trying not to chatter my teeth despite being freezing.
"no it's not, please let me buy you a new jumper" he pulls his wallet.
I shake my head it's fine, It will dry soonish"
"I insist" he pleads, pulling out two 100 pound notes.
"Holy shit, what type of jumper do you think I would buy" He laughs, "come on take it, it's the least I can do"
"No way" I say shaking my head.
I turn to go but he gently takes my shoulder and turns me back around.
"If you won't take the money at least take my jumper" he says starting to pull his jumper off.
"I can't take your jumper, you'll freeze"
"It's fine, I going inside straight after"
"Are you sure"
"Positive" he says smiling at me "come on take of that jumper it's soaked any way"
I nod unsure and quickly take my soaking jumper off I look back to the guy and he looks away and coughs awkwardly. I look around confused. Looking down I let out an embarrassed squeak and dive to cover my chest dropping my jumper in the process. My white T-shirt was wet too and is now pretty my much see through.He turns back and laughs at me. the heat rushes to my cheeks as I stand there mortified. He hands me his jacket and I take it quickly and slip it on. He laughs and bends down and picks up my jumper. I reach out to take it but he wags his finger in my face.
"Nope. this is mine now, fairs fair I gave you mine so I get to keep yours"
"Um okay." I laugh awkwardly. "Well thanx anyway" I turn and start running towards the queue.
"Hey wait I didn't get your name"I hear the boy call.
"Sorry I really gotta go" I shout back to him.
