HEY, UH, (M/N)?❞ the voice broke your train of thoughts, making you annoyed at whoever interrupted his ever-so-precious reading time, though the irritation that sparked inside of you died down when you looked up from the book, noticing that it was namjoon who spoke to him.

❝hm?❞ you asked, placing the book on his lap and bringing his knees to his chest when namjoon sat to the vacant spot next to him.

❝so this might seem weird, but i wrote a poem about you.❞ namjoon replied, fixing his glasses that accentuated his ridiculously handsome features, ❝about me? why?❞ you questioned, one of your eyebrows raised in confusion.

❝when i got my test paper from literature class, professor yang left a note saying that he thinks i'm good at poetry but should ask for someone to listen to me reading it out loud for feedback.❞ namjoon explained, handing over the page of the notebook that had his poem on it.

❝here, you hold this. i'll recite it and you tell me what you think about it.❞ ❝alright then.❞

the dimpled man cleared his throat before standing up and clearing his throat, preparing to read his poem aloud.

a face framed by the most beauteous shade of (h/c) hair,

his skin both soft and youthful,

a strength lies in his stoic stare,

his being terrifying but truthful

you nodded when namjoon took a glance at him, as a sign for him to continue his poem.

a voice in treble, like that of a bird's,

so expertly sharpened as a song

you dare not trespass on his word,

for he sings right from your wrong

small in frame with slender wrists,

but bearing the presence of a bear

don't dare prey upon his tenderness,

for in truth, he has none to spare

with perseverant elegance,

he forges his own grace,

unshakable intelligence

behind a lovely face
