Emma Winchester is a mystery

Oh great ... more ghost hunters.

Three days sneaking in after hours. The Viper room was no dollhouse in the dark instead taking over the look of a dingy basement. I've been on my own since the start my older brother Sam's odd behavior since returning from hell. I decided that if he had no conscience at the moment he could hurt me, so I left because as much as I love my brother if he ever starts to feel again he'll tear himself up about hurting me. So now I'm doing cases on my own and dodging my oldest brother Deans calls.

So here we are back to present day with me in a dark club by myself (Illegal? Yes) when I hear a voice... scratch that two voices coming from the front door. I knew it wasn't the owner because I found out he wasn't even in town when I asked around and their is no way any employee is coming till at least an hour before opening. I went to take a look to see two males smiling and holding cameras and equipment for .. ghost hunting?
Are you kidding me? Anything but off brand ghostbusters, please. Actually I want to have a little fun. Let's see how brave Mr. and Mr. Ghostbuster really are. I took a spoon from one of the drawers as quietly as humanly possible and began to make a tapping noise on a wall

The smaller one jumped at the noises "oh fuck, Shane... did you hear that"

"it was probably a pipe or something"

"That was not a pip~"

I began tapping again which caused the small one to step closer to who I had figured out was Shane "Do you think it's a one of the ghost?"

"Ryan,Theirs no ghosts here" I was so concitrated on scaring the 'ghost hunters' that I failed to notice a man coming up behind me until he had already grabbed my arm and begun to lead me toward Shane and Ryan

"We found the tapping noise" I rolled my eyes at the security man before lifting my head to meet the eyes of Walmart ghost busters - the sequel 

"Who are you?" Shane asked with a small smile

"Maya Bowie"

"Cool name"

"Than~"

"What's your real one"

I blinked at him and shrugged "I might be Vivian or Rebecca, I might even be a Veronica. You'll never know."

"Well judging by the inscription on your bracelet that's peeking out from under your sleeve your an Emma," Shane squinted at the rest of the inscription "Winchester."

"Alright you caught me, but look man, I just wanted to see if I could see a ghost but since I'm seventeen they wouldn't let me in so I decided I was gonna sneak in after hours. I've just been having a real bad time at home and this was gonna be a break from all that"

Ryan sighed and Shane gave him a look as if saying "don't you fucking dare" but Ryan ignored him opting to turn to me with a determined look

"Alright, you can stay, but if the manager comes around we'll have to tell her your a guest star for  Buzzfeed unsolved. Which also means you have to be in front of the camera with us."

At the news that I would have to be on camera in order to finish this case I froze. I had to I knew I did the previous owner had been hurt to many people for me to let him stay. Yes I'm aware of the lack of reports of injuries at The Viper Room but that's because this place is still open. If people found out about the scratches others have left with, they'd probably lose business. 

"Can't I be behind the camera? I'd be an exceptional Stagehand."

"C'mon squirt live a little. This'll be a fun."Shane brined even though I could tell he was a little annoyed 

I turned my head to him grinning "Your right, besides you give off more of stagehand vibes in my opinion" Ryan gave a short chuckle  before seeing Shane's pout and giving in to a full laughter 

Shane squinted at me "Look kid, I'm trying to be nice but your really dancing on my last nerve here" I could tell he wasn't all that serious so I grinned at him 

"In all seriousness thank you guys for doing this for me." I felt bad that I was technically, kind of, sort of lying ... but not really lying, more of withholding truth from them but I needed to do this. Even if Dean did kill me for letting these guys film me while I'm on a hunt. What did it matter? It's not like everyone who sees this is gonna be like "oh, she's definitely a professional hunter 𝙾𝚏 𝚃𝚑𝙴 𝚜𝚄𝚙𝙴𝚛𝙽𝚊𝚃𝚞𝚁𝚊𝙻." They'd labeled as lunatics and sent to the nut house

"Sure thing kid" Ryan grinned and put his hand on my shoulder in a comforting manner

Soon after Ryan and Shane began to explain the way filming works. They also explained their dynamic to me as well. Ryan was a firm believer while Shane was not. They also explained their fondness for taunting ghost. Which I thought was stupid and dangerous, not that I could explain that to them without having to explain that I thought it was stupid because it's effective with some ghosts. I nodded along throughout the explanation making mental notes of things I thought were important and asking questions at the confusing parts.

When time for filming came along they had us sit and explain the case (well, Shane and Ryan did while I smiled, frowned and nodded along) and we made a couple jokes. Till it came to introduce me on camera.

Ryan smiled at the camera while pointing at me"If you guys are wondering who this youngster is. this is our intern for the video Emma Winchester" Me and Shane gave Ryan an odd look

"Youngster?"

"Intern?"

Ryan shrugged "is she not clearly a youngster?" Ryan asked before turning to me "yes, our new mini goul getter"

"....yea, ok" Shane shrugged

They turned off the camera allowing Shane and Ryan to turn to me

"Not bad for a first timer squirt.

I grinned at Shane "I mean I'm kind of like Mary poppins" I shrugged causing the boys to give a confused look "practically perfect in every way" I booped Ryan's nose causing  him to give me a sarcastic chuckle

"Alright, so we start our supernatural investigation in the vip room." Ryan announced excitedly before practically leaping to his feet dragging Shane with him

"You guys go ahead without me, I'm just gonna grab my bag. I left it by the entrance." Ryan waved his hand in acknowledgement and led the entire crew with him to the v.i.p. room "Alright c,mon out mr. ghost man"I whispered so the crew wouldn't hear me " all the cameras are gone and I know you guys can show yourselves" suddenly a tall shadowy figure appeared in front of me and hesitated for a moment before leaning towards me and whispering in my ear. Scared. That's what it repeated over and over again I felt bad and decided that this ghost was probably too afraid to properly think about his decisions and he was hurting so, although it's not what my brothers would have done I decided not to kill the spirit immediately and would wait till after this.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked to my right to see Shane standing their with a questioning gaze set on me "something wrong?"

"No, this is gonna sound stupid but I was planning." Shane continued on with his quizzical look prompting me to continue " You see, I don't believe in ghosts but I can clearly see Ryan does so I was gonna scare him"Shane grinned at me before chuckling 

"Alright Mary poppins go for it." I smiled at him and he turned to start walking back so we could start filming causing me to huff a breath of relief.

"This is gonna be a long night."
