Willowthicket scanned the bushes for catmint, finally finding some she picked it up and walked back to camp. 'This leaf bare is really not a challenge' she mumbled to her mentor, Watersnap. ' Mhm now put those in the back of the den and find me some poppy seeds whilst you are there.' Willowthicket looked annoyed she hoped her mentor would agree and they would start talking about it rather than just being ordered to find poppy seeds. She found some poppy seeds lying under a fern. She brung them over to Watersnap and he shooed her away. ' Get! away!' He snapped at Willowthicket, Willowthicket looked awkardly at Watersnap and stepped back. 'Go out and play with your denmates!' he spat.'Im not an apprentice anymore!' Willowthicket shot back at him. Watersnap gave her a death stare and Willowthicket stalked out of the den.
'Hey Willowthicket!' She saw Oakscent the tom infront of her.'Oh hey Oakscent!' Willowthicket replied, happy to see her friend. Oakscent looked over at the highrock. ' I think that Firebranch is about to start the meeting' Oakscent told Willowthicket. Willowthicket nodded and padded alongside Oakscent over to the highrock. 'All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the highrock!' Firebranch's mew rung out all throughout the camp. Willowthicket saw Watersnap emerge from the Medicine Den and pad towards the highrock. Willowthicket really hated Watersnap for being so mean to her so unlike usual she stayed with Oakscent.
'Earlier on this morning I sent out a patrol and we found a rouge on our side of the territory' A few gasps rippled through the crowd of cats gathered under the highrock. ' WHAT DID YOU DO!?' Asked Oakscent. ' Nothing, it was too fast to leave our side'. A few mews of shock rang out in the crowd. Then Firebranch looked alarmed. ' EVERYONE STAY WHERE YOU ARE' He shouted. Everyone was confused with his sudden warning but then the bark of a dog came from behind Willowthicket. Willowthicket felt the hot breath of a dog behind her. She whimpered in fear. The dog sprang up. 'Oh no' Thought Willowthicket.
