Though I believe a story does not really need an introduction for the reader is perfectly capable of deciphering the intricacies of the same by himself, but some insight would surely won't undermine either the intellect of the reader or my principle.
The story that follows is set in the small town of Taki, located at one end of the West Bengal state of India, right at the border between India and Bangladesh. Throughout the story the reader would come across words which they may be unfamiliar with. One such term is toto. Toto is nothing but a battery operated locomotive found commonly in many parts of West Bengal. One may also come across terms like Babu which is just a term of endearment.
Rushit means prosperity while Shraddha stands for faith and devotion. Even though the meaning of names of these two principle characters in the story can be ignored, it is my belief, the knowledge of the same may reveal to the reader the nomenclature has indeed been done with a specific purpose and embedded in the deeper themes of the story.
That is all I have to stay. The words ahead are mine, the interpretation is yours. Hope you enjoy this short journey as much as I did.
