Stepping out on to the wooden deck, Ali adjusted her sunglasses against the glaring midday sun. Her sandals made a soft thwapping noise as she made her way around the pool to where Sam lay drying off. As soon as they arrived at the resort, Sam had bee lined for a swim to wash off the hours of travel.
The plane ride to Fiji had been long but they had managed to sleep most of the way. Ali was torn between the carbon footprint from a private jet and the joy of its creature comforts. The boat ride from the main island to the Harrington's compound resort was not quite luxury but it was much shorter.
When Sam had suggested getting out of town, all he had told her was to pack for the beach. The thought of sitting on the sand, letting the sun warm her skin had appealed to Ali. New York had many attractions to keep its patrons entertained during the cold winter months, but sitting by the seashore was not one of them.
She missed the simple pleasure of having the ocean accessible to her. Ali could smell the ocean now. Taking a deep breath, she slowly exhaled. This was heaven.
Looking down on Sam, relaxing with his eyes closed on a chaise lounger, Ali was content for a moment to follow the progress of a few droplets of water running down the ridges of his chest. When they disappeared into the folds of his bathing suit, Ali decided it was time to initiate her plan.
Clearing her throat, Ali started to undo the ties of her cover-up. Sam's eyes popped open revealing her favourite green irises and he smiled up at her. "Find what you were looking for?"
Grabbing the edges of the material, Ali pulled open the cloth covering, revealing her ruby red bikini. "I did."
The article of clothing had the desired effect. The lazy look on Sam's face turned from surprise and then to desire. The latter was reminiscent of the last time he had seen her in this outfit. The day they had first met. "Is that..." Sam licked his lips instead of finishing his sentence.
"It is." Ali took off her sunglasses, placing them on the empty lounger sitting beside Sam, before looking at them pointedly. "I thought we could finish what we started before we were interrupted last time."
Turning away from Sam, Ali slowly sauntered towards the bedroom she had just exited. She heard the sound of wood scraping against wood as Sam leapt out of his seat and followed her. Excitement crept up her spine as she danced through the doorway and waited.
"Your sunglasses," Sam teased, his hot breath tickling her neck where he was about to place a kiss.
Twisting away from him, she put some distance between them. "Un uh." Confusion creased Sam's handsome face. She doubted her plan for a moment. She could just give in right now and she would have no regrets. Ali bit her lip in indecision.
The action made Sam laugh out loud. His response reinforced her determination and made Ali's mind up for her. She wanted to try.
Ever since the night in the club, when Sam had made her watch herself react to his touch, Ali had been looking for a way to give Sam a similar experience. Sam always made her body sing. For once, she wanted to make him go wild with desire. Deciding to take control, she was going to tease him until he begged to be released.
"Don't you remember? There's a rule."
"Oh, I remember alright. No talking." He started toward her. Ali put her hand up, signalling him to stop. Sam did and cocked his head to the side, remaining silent.
"New location," Ali looked around, "New rule. This time... no touching."
Sam shook his head and resumed his trajectory. "Sorry my love, not going to happen."
