Wow! Selia thought as she walked into the enormous glittering mansion. It reminded Selia of Fitz's sparkly teal eyes, not that she cared. The mansion was enormous and very fancy. Inside, there were a lot of people mostly around the same age as Sophie and Fitz.

"Hello, Frankie and Selia. It is good to see you again." A wrinkly old man who smelled of stinky feet said. How would he know who they were? When had he seen them before? "Let me explain who I am," he said. "I am Mr. Forkle. You two were both experiments to become the moonlark. You two and Sophie are the only elves that we attempted to make moonlarks. We only perfected it on Sophie and it didn't seem to work on you two." Across the room, Sophie gasped and fell into Fitz's arms which made a boy with blond hair scowl in disgust. This made the two girls confused and made them want to know what a moonlark was.

"I thought I was the only one," Sophie or the moonlark said. "Why didn't the experiments work on those two?" Sophie asked.

"Well, their parents already had them and then gave them to us to work on when they were both just two years old. We washed the memories of their parents from their minds and then started experimenting. We wanted to research what it would be like to experiment on already born children. As you could see it didn't work very well. We could only enhance their powers but we couldn't do anything about anything else. Although, the younger one might manifest earlier because we experimented on her a bit more." Mr. Forkle answered. But there was one disturbing thought floating around Selia's head. He said that my parents had turned us in when we were both around two years old.

"Are we the same age?" Selia asked Mr. Forkle.

"Yes. Well kind of. We froze both of you so that we could experiment on you two but we experimented on Selia first and then on Frankie so we kept her longer. In return for allowing us to experiment with you, your parents asked us to take you to a place in the Forbidden Cities so that they could hide you. They didn't want you to live in a world where twins were looked down upon and didn't want people to know about you. But now with the Neverseen, they would feel awful if we lost because of your absence. They would come back to you at night since they were busy in the Lost Cities during the day."

"Ha, you can't say that you're older now," Frankie said defiantly.

"Well, I still am older technically," Selia replied. "Why can't you just tell us who our parents are?" Selia asked Mr. Forkle.

"Well, I can't tell you because they expressly informed us not to and they would be too embarrassed if others found out, obviously not because of you. You will just have to find out for yourself. Also, you wouldn't recognize from their looks either they always drink potions to change their looks."

"Oh I've tried, I still don't know" Sophie lied, not wanting anyone to know that Oralie was her biological mom. "I wouldn't recommend doing it, it leads to only disappointment, but I will support you if you still decide to."

"Ok well I think that it's time for you two to meet The Black Swan," Mr. Forkle introduced the Collective, team Valiant, and Maruca, Marella, Keefe - the person who had earlier scowled at Sophie and Fitz - and the Song twins, Tam and Linh.

"Why do you need us?" Frankie asked, "There are a lot of elves in this world, why will two more help?"

"You two were made to be more powerful than an average elf, and the more the merrier.      One of you two also might become a Guster and we need a lot of elemental powers to defeat the Neverseen. " Mr. Forkle replied. "You don't have to worry about your parents, they know about this."

"If they knew about this then why did you have to kidnap Selia and me," Frankie said, a little embarrassed that they had made her scream.

"Well, I guess that is what Sophie and Fitz chose to do instead of following my orders. " Mr. Forkle answered, looking a little mad at the moonlark and her friend. "Anyway, for now, you two will be living with the Vacker family." Selia and Frankie looked over at Fitz and Biana who were standing by their parents, Alden and Della.

So, after everyone else left, Della fed them a purple looking plant that tasted like spaghetti. At first, Frankie and Selia thought it looked disgusting but didn't want to be rude so they ate it. It tasted amazing. Selia thought of asking Della what it was but she sent them off to bed before Selia could ask. I guess I'll save that question for another day. Selia thought as she walked into the guest room that she shared with Frankie. They changed into their pajamas and took a quick tour of the room.

The guest room was big and luxurious with enough room for their beds, two desks and a humongous bean bag for reading. The closet was filled with frilly dresses that Selia and Frankie weren't too fond of. The bathroom was huge and had a bathtub the size of a small pool. The shower was equally as big. Once they finished their tour, they plopped onto the soft bed and turned off the lights.

"Selia?" Frankie whispered from the other bed.

            "Yeah?" Selia replied.

"Who do you think our parents are?" Frankie said softly.

"I don't know. I can't believe that they would keep such a big secret from us for so long. They promised that they would tell us everything." Selia said, a little mad at her parents for lying. She waited for an answer from Frankie but nothing came. Then she heard soft snores coming from the other bed. Haha, Frankie must have fallen asleep while listening to me talk. Selia thought.

Slowly, Selia began to drift into a calm, dreamless sleep.
