The crew anchored at a new snow island and as Nami was talking to Robin, Luffy sped pass her and before he disappeared in town she called him back.

Like a scolded child he walked defeated back over to her. The tone in her voice indicated that she was less than pleased and he was about to find out why.

"Captain, what are you wearing?"

"Clothes."

She rolled her eyes and eyed him from head to toe. Old worn out and battered was his attire and Nami even spotted a hole or two.

"I even remembered to wear a jacket."

That he did but said jacket had seen better days and no longer was fit for freezing weather. The jeans were okay. It was hard getting him to wear anything besides his jeans and sandals but everything else had to go.

"Are you looking to freeze to death or worst of all get sick? This island is colder than most we've been to."

"I don't get sick."

"And that's besides the point. You're not going anywhere looking like that. Go change."

"Why Nami~?" Luffy whined. He really wanted to go already.

"Have you forgotten your position and who you represent? You are the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and no captain of mine is going into public dressed like a homeless beggar on the street. Go now and change."

She called him out and Luffy blinked and had took her word for it and ran to his room. She was right. Always was and always will be. She made him know which clothes in particular to put on. There were the new ones she bought that he had no idea he had right to since she always made a scene whenever he ruined them. Thought that they were for special occasions but he was excited to wear them.

When he stepped out, his chest swelled upon seeing Nami's reaction.

A long sleeved button up cotton navy blue shirt and thick red fleece jacket. He felt like a million dollars. As he should since Nami made it her business to spend good money on his clothes. They fit like a glove and Luffy looked like a man he ought to be.

Carefully checking for finishing touches, Nami straightened his collar and smoothed out the visible creases. When through she gave him an ultimate smile of approval.

"Perfect."

With skilled hands she slipped him a few more Beri notes in his pocket unbeknownst to everyone else and he caught her gaze. It was their little secret and Luffy couldn't stop grinning. He understood and assured her with a nod and was all set to go.

"Remember to be back before dark, Luffy."

"Yeah."

"And stay out of trouble."

"Got it."

Nami knew she was asking for too much but he was her captain and she had all right to worry. After all, what's a crew without their captain?
