Chapter 3

Draco's POV

I woke up at 8:00 A.M. I'm an early riser. I got out of bed, showered, and got ready. When i was finished, i went down stairs. I went to the kitchen and found mother,father and snape talking about something that looked serious.

"Good morning" I said. They stopped their conversation when they heard my voice.

"Good morning Draco" my mother said. "Hello son. Sit down, we have to talk about something." My father seemed very serious.

I sat down next to Severus. "Draco, as you know, you are going to go into your inheritance very soon. We wanted for you to be prepared for what's going to happen. So we wanted for you to read the book Severus gave you. If you have any doubts, you can come to us."

I had forgotten about the book. I was about to stand up and go to my room to read, but my mother stopped me.

"Darling, sit down. We are going to eat breakfast first." "Ok mother." I responded. I was starting to get hungry anyways.

Mother served us breakfast and we eat in silence. When i was done, i stoop up and went to my room. I got there and went to my bed. I grabbed the book from my nightstand and inspected the book.

It was green and seemed a little old. The title said, 'All about Male Vela's". I opened it and started reading.

Wings:
Only male velas have wings. If they have white wings, it indicates that their mate will be the opposite gender, which is why its more common. If the vela has gray wings, it indicates that their mate will be the same gender as them. In the vela world, it's something amazing to have Gray wings, since its considered rare.

When the vela is angered, their wings will be as sharp as a blade. When the vela is in love, their wings will be super soft. To hide their wings, they have to think of themselves, but without wings. The feathers will fall off and disappear as they touch the floor. When their mate is embarrassed or sad, the vela will sense it and will cover their mate with their wings. This also happens when the vela is feeling overprotective.

Mate:
The vela will have to find their mate. If he doesn't find them, they will suffer a slowly death. For the vela to find their mate, they will have to follow their scent. It will be the most amazing scent.

When the vela has found their mate, they have to do a certain ritual. If the vela is a male, he will have to say: femme, je promets de toujours vous protéger et protéger notre enfant. Je serai toujours de ton côté. À travers les bons et les mauvais moments. Je ne te ferai jamais de mal et je m'assurerai que personne ne le fasse. Je te promets de t'aimer sans condition.

(woman, I promise to always protect you and our child. I will always be on your side, through good times and bad times. I will never hurt you and make sure no one does. I promise to love you unconditionally)

If the vela's mate is a male, it will still work. In the vela world, the submissives are considered women.

This is a requirement for the mate and the vela to create their mental bond. If, they don't do this, they will suffer some consequences. (See disadvantages for more information)

Powers:
The vela has many powers. They have strength, invisibility, super speed and telekinesis (only with their mate). These come in handy when their mate is in trouble. Velas dont have a lot of super powers because they are wizards.

Becoming a Vela:
It will be very painful. Most of the Velas pass out because of the pain. Most of the pain will come from their back, because of their wings. It is recommended for the parents of the velas to be in the room. If the vela is alone, the pain will be more painful.

The vela will change a lot. They will become taller to be more intimidating. They will be more handsome to attract their mate. They will be come stronger to protect their mate. They will have their wings. Also, they will acquire their powers too. The vela might look unrecognizable.

Bonds:
When the vela and the mate have initiated the mental bond, this is whats going to happen. They will have the ability to talk through their minds, they will feel what the other is feeling, they will be able to heal each other, and will be able to share memories.

When the mental bond has started, the physical bond will take place. The vela and the mate will have 1 week to start the physical bond.

The physical bond is that the mate and the vela will have to mate. This is for completing the bond between the vela and mate. If they don't mate after a week, they will suffer consequences. The mate will feel intense pain in his lower belly, then it will start spreading through their body, and then die from the pain. The vela will start suffering mentally. Their brain will start to make them feel useless and worthless. This will continue until the vela has had enough and end their life.

Deaths:
If the vela dies, their mate will not die instantaneously. They will become depressed and start feeling guilty because of their death. If the vela dies from old age, their mate will feel no pain at all and wont become depressed.

If the vela's mate dies, they will die instantaneously. No matter what they are doing, they will die as soon as their mate's heart has stopped beating. If the mate dies from old age, the vela wont feel pain. They will be fine on their own because they know their mate is in a better place, and all they want is for their mate to be happy.

I finished reading the book. I am shocked. I wasn't expecting that. I  casted a 'Tempus' and saw that it was already 7:00 P.M. I didn't even notice it was that late. I changed into pijamas, and went to sleep.

I appeared in a garden. It was beautiful. It had flowers everywhere. Then a saw someone. It looked like a man.

He was short and had black hair. The weird thing is that i couldn't see his face. If you ask me, he looked cute. Wait, cute?!? When did I started thinking like that?!? Anyways, he started walking towards me.

"I'm prepared" he said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I'm prepared." He repeated.

"Can you hear me?"

"I'm prepared" the man ignored me.

"Why are you ignoring me?" I started to walk towards the man.

"IM PREPARED!" He shouted.

I woke up covered in sweat. I think this is not going to be easy.
