Goddess

Chapter 2

As the night went on the party kept jumping. Many people came up to me and wished me a happy birthday and I bet there were all from my dad's gang. I had a bad feeling that something was about to happen, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I started observing the people in the room and my eyes landed on this one dude that was just staring at my dad. I knew then I had to get to my dad and quickly. I hurriedly kicked off my heels and tried to run as fast as I could to my dad.

"Daddy," I screamed out over the loud music as I pushed people out of my way to get to my dad. Just as I was about to step near him I heard several shots go off and screaming. I felt a burning sensation going through my body and my mouth tasted like iron. I looked towards my dad to see him looking at me in disbelief. He raised his gun in the direction of the shooter and shot him dead. I felt myself falling to the floor as I looked at my hands.

"D-da-daddy," I shakily said as I felt my body going numb. My whole body was radiating with a pain I've never felt in my life.

"My baby," I heard my mom scream bloody murder. I felt my dad pushing pressure to the gun shot wound I sustained.

"Call the fucking ambulance." I heard my dad yell out. I reach my hand up to his face and smiled at him. My angel.

"I s-saved you d-da-daddy." I said gasping for air. I felt myself coughing up more blood than I've ever seen in my life. I felt myself drifting away from everybody.

"Goddess stay with me baby. Don't you leave. Keep your eyes open baby." My dad pleaded with me and I just smiled at him. I'll be ok daddy. I said in my mind and felt my eyes shut. I felt myself floating in the air and looked down to see my dad holding pressure to the three gun shots I sustained from saving him. The EMTs then rushed through the doors and pushed everybody away from me as they began doing CPR on me. I then saw them get the defibrillator and begin doing shocks on me.

"Clear!" One of them yelled and my body convulsed and I felt myself floating closer to my body. "Another one." He yelled out and they shocked me again and I gasped for air. One of them felt for my pulse as one of them covered my wounds with gauze pads.

"Get her on the gurney. Let's go." One of them yelled out. I felt my body being moved at a high right of speed and then lifted into the ambulance. "We need to hurry!" The one in the back yelled out. I heard the machines going haywire again and somebody yelling out she's coding. I felt shocks go through me again and again until they felt a pulse.

"Let's go!" One of them yelled pumping oxygen into my body. "She's coded twice, we have a weak pulse, three gunshot wounds. One to the chest, torso, and shoulder. She's 18 years old." He yelled out and I was rushed inside of the cold hospital. Just as they took me to the operating room I felt myself floating again.

Third POV

The doctors and nurses worked fast to get Goddess' heart to beat again. They were finally able to achieve it after 30 minutes of CPR and called for blood bags because she's lost a lot of blood from the gunshot wounds she received to her body.

They worked precisely to get each and every bullet out of her body and it took eight hours to finish the surgery. They put her in ICU where she was in a coma and breathing through a tube. The doctors that worked on her went to greet her family who have been waiting for them to finish.

"Please tell me my baby is alive." Empress, her mom, pleaded through tears as King, her dad, held her as her body shook with sobs.

"Mr and Mrs.Kompton and family, she is alive. We were able to get all three bullets out, however she is in a coma right now and we have put a breathing tube in so she can breath because she can't do it on her own." The doctor explained to the family although you could her the sound of relief you still heard the sound of sobbing when the doctor said she was in a coma.
