Icy tears fell from my face. The wind caused my face to go numb and the snow crunched under my feet. My father kicked me out of our house for "stealing" his money. He was always a jerk. I thought about what had just happend...

I had just gotten home from volleyball when it happend.

"Amanda! Where's the dang money I just left on the table?!"

I sighed and said,

"I don't know John," I never liked to call him my dad because he never acted like it. He walked over to me and said,

"Amanda you tell me where it is! I know you took it and if you don't start talking I'm gonna kick you out of this house! You've stolen countless things from me you little thief! Your 18 you'd think that you would know better!" my eyes started to water but I rufused to let one slip. I had to look strong.

"Stop accusing me of things! I don't steal any of your stuff!" my mom walked in and I could tell she wanted to say something she opened her mouth but she looked scared so I interrupted "Mom! Why don't you ever defend me!? You know I don't steal!" John rolled his eyes and said,

"oh don't go crying to your mother when I yell at you! You just get out of this house your dumb thief!" he lifted up his arm to hit be as my mother yelled

"John! Don't hit her!" I took a small glance at my mom and said,

"love you mom." and walked out of the house.

The thought of my mother made me cry even more. I had allready walked a mile but I wasn't gonna go back. I had lori, my best friend but I wanted to get as far away as I could from John and my friend, Lori would be the first place he would look.

I saw the Walmart I always went with my mom. I walked in there to warm up. I had $40 in my bag from volleyball incase I needed to get a bus from the school. John never let me have a car because he said I was "not responsible". He liked to make my life as misribal as possible. I had thought about telling the police about him. He has never accually hit me but he has been really close so I had nothing I could say. But if I could make him pay for all the yelling, screaming, and accusing years I would.
