Chapter 3

I woke to the sound of people outside my room. I stretched in my bed. When I Finnaly stood up I went to see what all the talking was about. I quietly openend the door and peeked out. As I looked I saw, a police officer. Talking to the people next door. "crap" I thought to myself. "he's probebly looking for me because I ran away. But how does he know I'm here?" I closed the door and put my back to it. I took some breaths to calm myself. "how am I going to get out of this? There's no way im going back to John. ".

I quickly grabbed my Volleyball bag and opened the door. The officer wasn't looking. I started off the other way. I was going to go down the stairs when I realized there was another cop down there I turned the corner and saw the room that the boy went when I was with him last night. I started knocking on the door.

He answerd the door shirtless with the same sweatpants he had on last night. His biceps where huge and his chest, beautiful. I couldn't help but give a little smile.

"Hello" he said in a morning voice.

I stood there for a little when I realized I was in a bad situation.

"Um hi, can I come in?" after I said that, a voice was heard from inside the room,

"Nick? Uh, who's that?" it was another girl. Probebly his girlfriend. I bit my lip. She walked to the door and scowled at me. She had on a silky night gown probebly from Victoria's Secret.

"Just a friend" Nick told her. He turned to me, "Why? Are you ok?" the girl let out a small whimper and whisperd in his ear.

"Comon baby, come back to bed," I looked around the corner. The cop was talking to another room and he looked like he was getting good information. I grabbed my hair in frustration,

"Can I just please come in?" the girl flipped her hair. It was brown but had some small hints of sandy color in it.

"You can go find another room! Mmmkay? Nick is my boyfriend and I don't need some girl to come in and ruin that!" I rolled my eyes

"I don't want to be his girlfriend!" lying of corse. "I just..." I looked at nick, "Nevermind" and I took off toward the other side of the building. I heard the girl yell Nicks name so he must have been running after me. He was obviously much faster than me so he grabbed my right hand.

"Are yo-" his voice was interrupted with a loud shaking of the building. We realized it was an earthquake. He pulled me down and protected me by hugging. It lasted for roughly 3 minutes. And then we got up.

"Let's go before it happens again. Stay here, I'll go get my stuff and Molly. " he looked at me went. A minute later him and molly were coming to me. He had a shirt on and molly had, clothes on. "Do you need to go find your parents?" he asked me.

"No,"I replyed "Let's just go I'll explain later." he looked at me as Molly sighed

"Does she have to come?" Nick lifted his eyebrows and nodded his head. We all started walking to Nicks car as Molly shoved me to the side so she could walk by Nick. She cuddled him and held his hand as we walked. We started moving faster as everyone around us started screaming at something. We didn't dare to look what it was, but it must have been bad.

When we got to the car I sat in the back when Nick and Molly sat in the front. He started the engine and drove out of the lot, into the street.

"So where do you want me to take you?" I looked out the window about to say something when I saw a group of people huddled around something. A few blocks down, the same thing. It went on for a while. I Finnaly said something

"Anywhere. What are those things that everyone's staring at?" Nick shrugged,

"Lets see." he stopped the car as we all got out. We went into the park where there were a few people around one of them. As we gor closer I saw some people I recognized. Austin, mom, and John.
