"Can you toss me a water?" I asked Camila as I was too lazy to get up and get one for myself. she doesn't take her gaze away from her phone and doesn't say anything. I watched as her eyes moved from the screen for a second but she returned them right away.
Camila has decided that she was going to ignore me because of my recent job to kick out random girls that come into our apartment. The thing is, I wouldn't have to kick them out if Camila would just let me know she was having company over.
I watch closely as Camila suddenly shoots up from the couch and moves into the kitchen. She opens the black fridge and grabs a water bottle. Was she finally over being upset with me? That idea was thrown out the window as Camila opens the bottle, takes a drink, and plops back down onto the couch. I groan and throw my comforter off. I sigh as my feet hit the carpet.
"Camila, would you quit being a child and talk to me? You have to talk at some point."
I drop myself on to the couch next to her and grab the water bottle she had just got. her eyes follow me as I unscrew the cap and go to take a drink. she only had a sip but I was going to water fountain it anyways. Sadly before I could take a drink the bottle is snatched from my hands causing some drops to land on the couch and carpet.
"I don't have to do anything," she fumed, "and who told you you could have my water?"
"Fuck off!" she barks. her face was starting to get read so I knew I was starting to really piss her off. However, the more pissed she became the more I became as well. Why was that such a big deal?
"Why are you so mad about that?" I hers.
"I have my reasons, just leave me alone." she sneers and throws her phone across the room.
"No, not until you tell me why. It's not like you liked the girl! What number is she, five?" I was starting to get really irritated.
"You acted like you know everything, Lauren," she rages and stands up, "I actually did like her." I stood up as well so we could almost be faced to face. It was more like my face to her chin but that's not important right now.
"Oh come on Camila. I've watched you bring different girls over all week. You're telling me after making out with the chick for an hour you realized she's the one? She's the one you want to date?"
I didn't expect an answer but I did think she would yell at me. The woman was dead silent. It was like she was frozen in place. her brown eyes were darker than ever and I felt as if she was trying to kill me with them. Without saying a word, she shakes her head and walks out the front door, slamming it behind her. The wooden door shakes in its frame.
All the anger I felt vanished into thin air and was replaced with guilt. I frown as the situation hits me. Maybe I was out of line. I shouldn't have acted like that towards her. Maybe she really did like that girl.
I decided that I would give Camila some space. I had somehow found myself heading to Normani's dorm. I had called to see if she had any plans and she ended up inviting me to go shopping. Though that's not really something I enjoy, I figured it wouldn't hurt to get off the campus for a while and away from the apartment.
"So I was thinking we could hit up a few stores in the mall and then plan more from there?" proposed as she locked her door.
"Yeah, that's fine. I actually haven't been to the mall yet so it'll be like a new experience for me." I inform.
"Great! I'll show you all the best stores to shop in. You don't mind if I drive, right?"
"Nope."
