"Where are we going?" I ask curiously. We have been driving for a while now.  I don't think she had any time to formally plan a date. Which, I didn't mind at all.

"The beach." She simply answers. I think about it for a second. Neither one of us is wearing a swimsuit and it's kind of chilly outside.

"There's a restaurant on the beach." She says. I nod in understanding.

After about 10 more minutes, we arrived at the beach. The waves were slow and the sun was setting, casting a pinkish glow on the water. It was absolutely beautiful.

"You like seafood right?" Camila suddenly asks. I nod and she sighs in relief. "I probably should have asked you before. They only serve seafood at this restaurant."

Walking in I felt like we were in a surfing movie. There were surfboards all over the restaurant. I've lived here in Florida most of my life and I've never been in here before.

"Hi! How many?" The host asks at the front door.

"Two," Camila says and then turns to me. "Would you like a table inside or out?"

I thought of the sunset and instantly got my answer. "Outside!" I smile. Camila nods and tells the host. They grab two menus and tell us to follow.  We made our way out to the back of the restaurant and out the back door.  No one else sat outside except us.

The host took out drink orders and then disappeared inside.

"It's so pretty out!" I exclaim. I swear I fell in love with the view.

"Yea, it's almost as pretty as you," Camila says with a big smile.

I let out a laugh. "Please don't be cheesy. It doesn't suit you at all." Even though I thought her words were funny it still made my cheeks heat up.

"Alright, that messes up all my compliments I had planned." Camila frowns jokingly.

"You plan your compliments?"

"Not usually." She says. I give her a weird look causing her to laugh.

"You are so weird today." I shake my head laughing. Camila smiles and just shrugs. I've never seen her this giddy before. I kind of like this side of Camila.

Soon a waiter came and took our order. Camila ordered some shrimp combo things. I ordered the same because I've never been here before so I didn't know what to get.

"Are You ready to go back to school?" Camila suddenly asks.

"Not really. It's going to be hard leaving my family again." I say honestly. I haven't even left yet and I already feel a bit homesick.

"How many siblings do you have?"

"Two. You met Chris and then I have a younger sister Taylor."

"what about you? Is Sofi your only sibling?"

"Nah, I have an older sister. She lives in Australia. We don't really get along so she never comes home. I also have all my foster siblings and I could count Lucy as a sister, close enough right." She goes on to tell me about all the foster kids.

"I think it's a really nice thing that your aunt does. Taking in foster kids. I would love to do that someday." I smile at the thought.

"Yea, she's done that for as long as I can remember. She's a nice lady. She just tried to hide it."

We continue to talk about our lives and finish our food. About an hour later we were all done.  Camila had got the check and had paid for it all. I tried to pay half but she only argued with me and wouldn't take any of my money.

"Let's go down to the beach," Camila says as she pulls me down steps that lead to the beach from the restaurant. At the end of the steps, I took off my shoes and ran across the sand. I almost made it to the water until Camila ran up behind me and grabbed me by the waist and swung me around.

"Camila put me down!" I exclaim while giggling. I was starting to feel dizzy from all the spinning around.

"Fine." She slowly sets me down. Right after she pulls me into her arms by my waist. I wrapped my arms around her as well.

It went really quiet after that. We just stood there staring out into the sea. Watching the waves crash against the sand. I couldn't help but feel like we were in the opening scene of grease. I made myself laugh thinking about it.

"Can I?" Camila suddenly speaks causing me to look up at her.

"Can you what?" I ask confused.

"This." She leans forward and places her lips on mine. My heart instantly starts to beat faster and my cheeks heat up. I swear every kiss is like a first. Since I've realized I liked Camila everything is so different.

After a couple of minutes, Camila pulls away and places her head onto mine.

"You're mine now." She says.

"Is that your way of asking me to be your girlfriend?"

"Yes?" She says as a question.

I think for a minute. The drama between me and Normani popped into my mind. I was scared that she would do something. Or what if it made Dinah upset? I mean she can be upset with me but I wouldn't want her to be mad at Camila. I don't want to ruin any friendships.

Actually you know what, I should just stop worrying about other people.

"Yes." I finally answered.

"Really?!" Camila says dumbfounded. I nod quickly. I couldn't help but smile. Camila grins and hugs me even tighter.

"You know I never thought you'd actually like me since I was such an asshole to you." Camila looks down at me.

"I never thought I would either," I admit. Camila let's go and places a hand on her heart.

"Ouch, you were supposed to say you always liked me." Camila pouts.

"Stop pouting bad boy," I smirk. Camila raises an eyebrow.

"Bad boy?"

"That's what you are aren't you?" I say referring to the beginning of the year when I was told she was a bad boy.

"Not anymore. You've changed me for the better Lauren." Camila says dramatically.

"I'm glad I could turn you around." I joke.

Camila smiles," Alright it's getting late. I better get you home." I nod. She intertwined our fingers and we headed up to the car.

I was a little sad when we arrived home. I didn't want this night to end. I haven't been this happy in a long time.

"Would you like to come inside for a minute?" I ask. I wanted to give her a paper that she had left here that night Lucy brought her over. "Sure." She answers and follows me inside.

"You can wait here-"

"Lauren, who's this?" I turn around to see my dad standing there with his arms crossed. I gulp. I thought everyone would be asleep by now.

"Hi, dad. What are you doing up so late?" I try to change the subject. My dad gives me an unimpressed look.

"Couldn't sleep because my daughter was out late." He answers. Uh oh, I could tell that he was upset with me. I don't like it when my dad's upset, he turns scary.

"Sorry about that. You shouldn't have waited up." I say, once again trying to keep him from asking again.

"It's fine. Now can you tell me who this girl is?" he points to Camila, who was clutching my hand hard. Was she nervous? It was kind of cute seeing her like this.

"Dad, this is," I paused to look at Camila. She gives me a small smile and then I continue. " This is Camila, my girlfriend."
