          I lay on the bed, shivering under the thin satin sheets. This was what I had always wanted- right? Rubbing my frigid hands I swung my legs over the bed. Despite my height, my feet hung over the bed. I like the feeling; it reminds me of my childhood in Arrmos. Carefully I slip my bare feet onto the cold marble and tip toe to my balcony. I hesitantly opened the door almost afraid of being caught. As I walked into the cold embrace of the night and wrapped my shawl closer I felt breeze behind me. As I realized that the shift of wind came from inside I spun around to him standing in front of me.

            As I opened my mouth to speak he plunged a dagger into my stomach. I clenched at the blow. Feeling every agonizing second as he twisted his blade, he brought me closer. I fell into him, looking for a comfort he wasn’t offering.

“You know,” he whispered into my ear “they told me sirens can’t die. But I learned about people like you from a witchdoctor a little ways back. You can’t heal unless I take this blade out of your stomach, and if I don’t you’ll be petrified. Quite fitting don’t you think? You’re a demon, not fit for living. You don’t deserve to plague this world any longer.” He plunged the dagger deeper into my flesh, I winced as I heard my flesh rip and gasping I looked up in disbelief, his words hurt more than the dagger.

“You stabbed me?” I struggled to keep my tears back but rivers fell out my eyes. I flinched as he stroked my hair and laid me down. The last thing I saw was his lips bowing down into mine. But, before I drifted completely I whispered into his ear, “I love you too”. And then the blackness engulfed me...

I have a story mapped out but I need encouragement to continue... This is just an excerpt- nowhere near begginig of the story but that's okay- I hope?
