It's been about 5 years since the incident. Sasuke hasn't been the same. He doesn't associate with anyone besides me and sometimes not even me. We don't talk about what happened.

I understand he needs time and I'll give him all the time I can but he only seems to care for himself. It hurts especial when were in close proximity and it feels like were far away. I don't think he sees it but I do.

"Sasuke get up or were gonna be late." I heard a grunt from under the covers. I did my morning routine and was ready. I look over to see sasuke still in bed. "Sasuke come on !" He got up from under the covers and glared at me. I lightly smiled at him. He looked away and got up. " I'm going to change turn round." I followed his instructions .
Since the incident we've been living at my old apartment so it's very cramped for both of us especially with two beds . "Sasuke I made your lunch already so you don't have to and I washed some of your clothes, their hanging up in the closet just in case you were looks for them" all I got in response was a grunt. "Your a person of very few words huh." I laughed and I think I heard a little chuckle.
We arrived at the academy and we saw kakashi entering "hey kaka-San! " he turned around and smiled at us. We and sasuke walked up to him and gave him a quick hug "So what brings you here today?" He smiled at us "you guys, I was wondering if after your done I could pick you guys up and take you for ramen, my treat?" "Yes! We would love to go right sasuke?" I looked over at him and saw him smile. My heart jumped, it was so rare to see him smile it made me happy.
We bid our goodbyes and hurried to class. We made it to out seats right on time. Sasuke sat next to me and on the other side of him sat sakura. I like her but she's always around him and bugging him, it kind of annoys me. "Ok class today were going to talk about chakra and chakra control. We'll talk about the how and why we use chakra" I probably should have pause attention but I was focused on sasuke. How can I get the old one back, I don't understand what to do. I put my head down in frustration and iruka sensei noticed. "Naruto is my lesson boring you?" I shot my head up so fast that I fell out of my seat. My elbow scraped against the ground and torn some of my skin away. The class irupted in laughter as I got up. I laughed along with them which probably wasn't a good idea because iruka sensei thought I was fooling around.
"Naruto why don't stop messing around and pay attention you might actually learn something!" I nodded my heard and felt sasuke staring at me. When I turned my head to him and saw him looking at the scrape. I smiled and focused back on the lesson.
After that we went a outside to spar the first match was shikamaru and choji but shikamaru gave up. I laughed at their antics. Sasuke stood next to me and I wondered what he was thinking, how I would love to read his thoughts.

The best one was a girl named ino and sakura theirs ended in a draw. The schools day was almost over but they called one last match "Naruto and sasuke" I looked at him with wide eyes and so did he. We made our way into the circle the other students formed. I knew that sasuke was superior to me but I still wanted to try. "Ready set fight" . I threw the first kick and sasuke blocked it with his arm. He threw punches at me but I dodged them and right as I was about to go for him he swept his foot under my legs and made me fall.

He pinned me to the ground and Iruka sensei rang the bell signaling it was time to go home. The girls applauded sasuke and laughed at me one last time. I got up and wiped the dirt off my clothes.

"Aww man I have to wash again, any way come one sasuke we have to meet kakashi at the gate!" I grabbed his hand and hurried to the gate.
Kakashi was there like he promised.
"You two seem to be a bit dirtier then I remember. What happened?" Sasuke didn't answer as usually so I did. "Well we were sparing today and me and sasuke went against each other."
Kakshi smiled amused. "And who won?" I sighed "Well sasuke did which means I have to practice more!"

We had arrived at ichiraku ramen. I ordered first, then sasuke then kakashi. It was a normal meal, we didn't talk about anything particular. We finished up, thanked kakashi and headed home. As soon as we got inside he went to the bsthroom 'is he sick?' I thought. But he returned with the first aid kit.
"Sasuke why do you have that?". His eyes looked at my elbow . "O my scrap, it's ok you don't have to, it's just a little cut." But he didn't listen and led me to the kitchen and told me to sit down.
