I joined the others soon, who had already finished their dinner. Looks like I have to eat later.

"I'll do the dishes." I offered and dad gave me an appreciative nod.

"I'll help." I heard a deep voice behind me making me shiver. I turned around to see Ivan standing there, his hands stuffed inside his pocket making him look extra attracti-nope.

Asshole. Yes making him look extra asshole.

"Oh it's alright son. Don't worry Hazel will do it." Dad protested.

"No it's fine Mr. Gomes. It won't be a problem at all." Ivan said with a charming smile. My dad denied again but after a lot of tries he finally gave up. Ivan was determined to offer help. Wish could say the same about me.
The fact that he can be polite too shocked me the most.

"You don't have to." I finally said something.

"I insist." He said in a determined voice, leaving no room for argument. I sighed but still nodded, not having any other choice.

"So?" Ivan asked while handing me the washed plate.
"So?" I responded back, unsure of what to say.

"Say something." He snarled.

"Something." I stated to which he groaned.

"How funny." He said back with no hint of humour in his voice.

"Well at least now you now I can be funny too."

He faked a laugh and I joined.

"So any special man in your life?" He asked out of the blue.
"If you count my dad and brother then yes. The only two special men in my life." I said a bored tone. He chuckled.

"What about you?" I inquired.

"Any special men in my life?" He emphasised on the word men.

"No. Women. Wait unless you're gay. Or bisexual. I don't mean it in a bad way, its good if you are. No like not good but no, not bad also. Like I don't really mind same sex relationships and don't worry I won't be disgusted and all. I actually support the lgbtq community. I even participate in pride parades. I know I am just saying things which don't really have a meaning. I feel like i should just stop speaking so yeah I'll stop blabbering things now." I mumbled the last sentence and hung my head low, embarrassed by my sputtering.

Great going Hazel. Embarrass yourself more, that's the only thing you're good at, isn't it?

"Hey don't be embarrassed. Sometimes even I end up blabbering things. Especially when I am nervous." He assured me, offering a soft smile.

"Really?"
"Uh huh."
"Also to your previous question, I am completely straight."
"And what about the special part which you completely ignored?" I pointed out.
"Nope. No one special. But I do have a lot of women in my life." He boasted.
"Oh yeah how could I forget? Ivan Anderson, the stupid arrogant manwhore of our school." I said without thinking.

"You really think that way?" Ivan said in a soft tone with slight huskiness in it.

I looked up to see a hurt expression on his face. The pain was evident in the crease of his brows and the dull green eyes. He was fast to mask his hurt expression but I already caught him.

"Never mind." He cleared his throat and continued washing the dishes.

"Hey." I whispered staring at his frown. Without wasting any second I wrapped my arms around his torso. His lean body tensed but eventually he returned the gesture.

"I am sorry." I apologised, my head resting on his shoulder while his rested on my head. Despite the heaviness in my stomach, it fluttered at the feeling of his body pressed against mine. After being in his arms for a few minutes, I quickly sneaked a glance at him. I pause, noticing those calm and breathtaking green eyes. He caught me ogling at him. Embarrassed, I tried to look away but he placed his soft yet large hand upon my cheek, gently caressing it with his thumb. He smiled at me and pulled me closer, stroking my hair.

As if coming back to my senses I cleared my throat and detached myself from his arms. Even though I don't want to admit it but I cant deny the fact that I missed his arm's warmth.

"Kids come outside." I heard dad yell from the living room.

Thanks dad. You're a life saver.

"Uh. I think we should go." Ivan ended his sentence with an awkward chuckle. Not trusting my words I just gave an awkward nod and left without any further ado.

"Guys we need to inform something important to you." Dad announced as we all gathered in the living room. I gave him a questioning look to which he just smiled.

"So we got a mail from our high school that they have organised a reunion party for a week. Since we are getting old and we don't really think this opportunity will come back, so we thought to attend the party." dad said.

"That's great dad." I gave an encouraging smile.

"And we have also decided that Ivan and Natasha will be living here with Hazel and Justin until we return. We expect you all to behave properly and not cause any destruction." Dad added.

Did I hear that correctly? I think I need hearing aids. Of course, he must have said something else.

"Can you please repeat I think I didn't really hear you dad?" I inquired.

"You kids are to say together under the same roof for a week. I hope so it isn't a problem dear." Mr. Anderson said politely.

"No problem dad." Ivan said smugly with a smirk on his face to which I huffed. All the heads turned towards me, asking me silently about my thoughts.

They were lucky that my parents taught me the basics of good mannerism and behaviour.

So I plastered a fake smile on my face and opened my mouth to say the three words, I know I'll regret saying.

"Not at all."

I am so screwed.

A/N- I don't know why but I feel like this chapter was absolute shit

A/N- I don't know why but I feel like this chapter was absolute shit. My brain was not working, I took hours to write such a boring and shitty chapter. I have my mid term exams coming up due to which my brain is all clogged up. I haven't studied at all this year and now I am freaking out. I think I won't update frequently. I am not really in a good state of mind. I apologize but I think it's better to take time and write something good than write total shit when my brain isn't really working. And I am sorry if you all found this chapter boring or not good.
