Chapter 13: Nothing Lasts Forever

(3rd Person POV)
[Black Forest, Ebbot City]

"Behind you!"

The two spun their heads behind them at the shouting warning their tied-up partner gave them, but it was too late for them, they sound their heads to see the leader of the SWAT, Ink, with his brush up and ready to swing a paint attack.

Just as he swung the brush at their direction, something shot him just below his left shoulder, making him drop his brush, and fall back, gripping his blood-dripping wound firmly while glaring at the one who did it.

The culprit was tall, and wore a pale sweater under his black thick and shoulder up cloak and has 'X's everywhere in white and purple, many knew this monster, he was in fact, the 'Master' of the X-Events, X Gaster....

But how did he manage to teleport there? It was in fact, magic proof, "M-Master X!", the female criminal stuttered with fear and shock in her (e/c) eyes, this was the first time he had appear on scene, "Pathetic, just pathetic... The three of you are my very bests, my aces of cards... And how did this lead to this? Do you feel ashamed? ALL THREE OF YOU! PATHETIC!", the master shouted, his chaotic voice made the three criminals flinch, their negative thoughts just screaming how pathetic they were.

"Now, let us settle them on children, my personal assassins should know better", the man snarled, black goop dropping down his chaotic eyes and crooked and ripped mouth, summoning hands with pointed spikes for offence, "H-How?!! He shouldn't be able to use magic!", a one-eyed skeleton stumbled back a little, fear in his eyes.

"In this form no barrier works on me for fifteen minutes, the most I can do, but that is enough to give my wealthy disciples the same effect for the same time. Enough time to delete you all", X glances at his underlings with the same scary smile and eyes, the three who were on the ground began to glow a faint purple, and X Chara, who was tied up, exploded the magic strings, literally.

"Initiate plan Three Stage Kill", his eyes turned from a purple to red, so did the three, a glitched skeleton knew this old trick, and is not fond of it.

"Everyone! Keep dodging! Once their time is up, use your trapping magic!", he warned the policemen, earning nods as his eye sockets kept lock on the criminals, the targets.

"One, keep out of their sight", a deep voice calls from the criminals, appears to be Cross', the three nod before suddenly running around the officers and agents in inhuman speed, jumping and parkouring around the sphere building in quick speed.

"Two, stumble them and make them fall", a feminine one states, as a few officers who were standing, began to stumble and fall, some gripping their legs.

"Three.... SLIT THEIR THROATS!", the final member shoots, ending it with a demonic screech as he lunges towards a random officer he sees, Fresh, as he turns to the lunging criminal with his knife ready, it was too late for Fresh, the 90's skeleton wasn't ready, he backed up a bit, but it wasn't enough, he was about to be sliced.

But instead, he heard a crashing noise instead of the sound of blood splattering and a knife cutting through his neck bone to kill him instantly, slowly, Fresh opens his eyes, to see the criminal crashed to a wall, with blue strings attached to the criminal's body, and the strings belong to the one and only, you know who.

"Error!", the young 90's skeleton called out to his brother who had just saved him, "Always watch your back idiot!", Error warned back, "Everyone use your magic to dodge! Then attack their master!", he aimed an attack of bones towards the master, sadly, the attack was blocked by a disciple of his with a barrier cage made of (f/c) spears.

The master looked up at the cage and the user of it, before his smile turned to a more scowl, "What have I told you about (f/c) magic (Y/n)?", the master scowls at the running female as she flinches for a second, "S-Sorry Master X", she muttered an apology to her master, "Finish them off!", the master scowls harder, his bloodshot eyes raging in anger as his three student's eyes also glows in rage.

"B-But Master X! Our time limit! We only have fiftee-", the boy called as X Chara complained, his glow softening a bit, but he was cut off by his Master's voice, shouting, "DO AS I TELL!", making them all flinch at his booming voice.

"YES MASTER!", the three shouted a reply with fear, sweating and even shaking a bit, the 90's skeleton was confused at the cut criminal's complaint about something, "Fifteen?-", that's when it snapped, his shades turn to 'Bingo', and he smiled a big grin with a scary glare, his grin showing a golden tooth.

"Fourteen, thirteen, twelve-", he began to count backwards, confusing his glitched brother next to him, "Fresh? What are you-", but ignored his questions, "-Eleven, ten, nine-", Fresh continued, taking a step closer as the criminals stopped their dashing, the three stumbled back.

The three all looked at each other before nodding and teleport in front of their master, X Gaster, weapons in hand, not the ones made of magic tho, the ones made from the real deal, "Five, four, three, two-", the detective suddenly summons lots and lots of bones and colourful neon strings, he did summon demons there at the scene tho...

"One"

Suddenly attacks began firing at the criminals, them trying to dodge and protect their masters with their weapons, the black and white skeleton with the red scar, Cross, tried to deflect the attacks heading at him with his gigantic, and I mean, GIGANTIC, knife.

The young male with an eye covered, X Chara, was trying to dodge the attacks, some letting pass through his ghostly body, and letting his other teammates deflect the ones heading for his master.

The only young female with (h/c) hair, (Y/n), was also dodging, but deflected some and a lot of attacks with her long daggers, not letting an attack seeking through.

But, as we all know....

Nothing lasts forever
