"So... are you just taking me home?" Jungkook questions as they park in front of the mansion. Taehyung sighs and turns off the car, he doesn't say anything though. Jungkook looks at him for a second, wondering if everything he read about really is... the Taehyung he's looking at right now.

"Where were you?" he adds. Taehyung's absence has been harder than Jungkook expected, not that he would ever admit that.

"All kinds of places... you know, where I could drown in my own sorrows," he chuckles hoarsely. He steps out of the car and walks to the back seat. He opens the door and pulls Jungkook out, throwing him over his shoulder once again.

Jungkook yelps in confusion.

"W-What are you doing, were at home!?" he can't just go lifting people around, that's just plain rude.

"I don't want you to run away before I can explain for myself," he says and walks towards the entrance. When they are inside and walk towards the stairs, a pair of big confused eyes follow them all the way.

Jin doesn't say anything though, he kind of expected this to happen. He has been in touch with Taehyung over the last few weeks, the younger wanted to know when he was allowed to come back. No matter how hard he tries to stay away, he can't.

Jin used this opportunity to get the two of them to talk since he figured that Jungkook would realize who Kim Taehyung really is. Guess it's only the elder generations who know about him now.

"Put. Me. Down!" Jungkook hits Taehyung's back as the elder takes him all the way up the stairs and into his room. Here, he throws him on the bed and closes the door.

Jungkook frowns and pushes himself back a little. He can't hide from the fact that he's still a little scared of being alone with the other, considering their little accident. But Taehyung did apologize, so he isn't mad anymore.

"I need you to listen to me for a while," Taehyung says. Jungkook scoffs and sits up better.

"Listen to you talking about yourself? Who is supposedly a mass murderer!?" he asks, his brows furrowed. Somehow, he can't get over the fact that Taehyung is keeping something like that a secret for him. Or more like, how can Taehyung even be standing alive in this room?

"I had good reasons-"

"To hang people in their houses or send them in pieces to their families? Is there a possible good reason for that?" Jungkook attacks. He knows he's acting like a bitch, but he's just so mad... or frustrated? He doesn't know, he just can't get it into his head what kind of a person Taehyung is.

"I was young, okay!? I didn't think straight back then..."

"You never think straight-"

"You know what I mean! It's just..." he runs a hand through his hair while sitting down on the bed next to Jungkook. "I was just so mad about those people living freely when being murders. They have families who believe they are the greatest people in the world, but then it turns out... they are just as fucked up as the rest of the criminals out there..."

"What do you mean?" Jungkook almost whispers.

"What I did... was wrong. But I don't regret it, because I'm not a good person. I have never been. I'm just trying to make a better world for those who are. You know... people like you," he answers. Their eyes meet and Taehyung's flashes with an emotion Jungkook can't really explain.

"I have killed people too Taehyung."

"I know. Yet, you did it because you had to, I just did it because I wanted to. I felt pleasure in killing them Jungkook. I'm a monster," he states and looks down at his hands.

His face is scrunched in an uncomfortable way, clearly showing he hates that part om himself. Jungkook looks at him for a little not really knowing what to say. Taehyung is more of an antihero than he's a monster. But how do you explain a person like Taehyung that?

He clearly seems to have a lot on his mind. Also, with everything he has lost. A place in D.O. and the device he worked so many years on. And now, even Jungkook.

"You're not a monster Taehyung... you're just... lost?" the younger almost questions himself. Taehyung looks up at him confused, not understanding. Jungkook smiles a little at that. The elder just looks like a kicked puppy right now, big brown eyes looking at him with so much hurt.

He lifts a hand and pushes some of the silver hair back, watching Taehyung close his eyes and lean into the touch. He's beautiful as always.

"You have never really know where you belonged, always walking from group to group because of your skill and honestly, crazy background," he says as he keeps caring for the other's hair.

"You know... there's space for you here Taehyung. If you can just accept who you are so we can love you for who you are. I know it sounds cheesy, but you're hiding from us," Jungkook states. Taehyung opens his eyes slowly, looking at the other.

Jungkook is looking eternal right now. His dark hair hanging lazily over his forehead, his milky skin looking stunning and those eyes. God, Taehyung can get lost in them so easily.

He bites his lip as he takes in the other's words, feeling some unwelcome tears sting in his eyes. Jungkook smiles fondly as he pulls the other into a hug.

"I'm s-sorry. For what I did to you... I never- I would never have-"

"Shhh, it's okay. It's okay," Jungkook whispers as Taehyung hides his face in his neck. It's so rare to see Taehyung like this, so it hurts Jungkook deeply. He should still be mad at the other, but he just can't.

They sit like that for a while, just enjoying the fact that they now have each other. Maybe, just maybe... their relationship can be built up again. Jungkook pulls back and takes Taehyung's head in his hands.

"We will win against D.O. no matter what. You just need to trust us Taehyung, then we will trust you. We can do it, and then you'll be free from it," he says rather sternly. Taehyung takes a deep breath.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Jungkook leans forward and connects their lips, feeling how butterflies explode in his mouth. He has been craving for this way longer than he's aware of, pulling himself onto Taehyung's lab.

Taehyung sighs into it, placing his hands around the other's slim waist. Their mouths work together slowly and comfortably. There's nothing rushed about the kiss, yet it's still the most pleasurable one they have shared together.

Taehyung is the first to pull back.

"Thank you," he says as he rests their foreheads together. Jungkook smiles.

"You're welcome."

TIME SKIP

"I never thought you would come back!" Jimin smiles at Taehyung as he sees him by the dinner table, eating a plate of hot pasta. He and Jungkook came down from the room soon after their talk, wanting something to eat.

"Someone needs to be here an annoy you I guess," he jokes back and Jimin huffs offended.

"Well, fuck you."

"That's Yoongi's job, not mine... even though you are pretty se-" he gets a whack on the shoulder from Jungkook beside him. "Auch, I'm kidding, I'm kidding," he giggles before earning another one.

"Maybe I shouldn't have allowed you back," Jin says as he returns from the kitchen with more food. The other guys soon join them too, Hoseok taking an extra glance at Taehyung to remember him fully.

"Well, you're going to be much needed though," Namjoon is the last to enter the kitchen. He has some papers in his hands, looking rather serious at the others.

"We have a lot coming out way."
