I didn't wait even a second before I bolted through those gates and towards the figure I saw walking towards the school building. I didn't care about the people I shoved out of the way nor how fast I was running at the moment. I just wanted to reach him before I lost sight of him.

As soon as I got close enough, I threw myself forward and grabbed onto the back of his shirt, pulling him to fall back with me. I fell onto my knees, while he landed on his butt. He cursed and I panted, trying to catch my breath.

"Brother!" I exclaimed as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, hugging him from behind.

I was really happy until he roughly shoved me away from him and stood up.

"Hey, why are you- Oh.." Disappointment crept inside of me as the guy who I thought was my brother, wasn't.

"What the hell is your problem?" He glared at me before looking at his scraped, bleeding palms.

"I'm so sorry I just thought you were someone else..." As soon as I noticed people watching me the disappointment I felt was quickly replaced with embarrassment.

I just had to embarrass myself on my first day here too.

"Mistaking me for someone else? Are you serious? Look at what you did to my hands!" He said with venom slipping from every word, expressing anger towards me and my actions.

I let my head hang, allowing my hair to block the sides of my face hoping that no one would be able to see it.

"I'm-" I was about to apologize when I saw someone's shadow appear in front of me.

"Alex, she already apologized for her mistake. Don't give her such a hard time and go on about your day." Taehyung said to him.

I lifted my head to see Jungkook standing next to Taehyung, blocking me from Alex's view while Jimin knelt down next to me and placed his hand on my shoulder as a way to comfort me.

At least that's what I thought, instead, he was secretly healing my scraped-up knees that I didn't even notice.

"Of course." I watched Alex roll his eyes at Jungkook and Taehyung before walking away.

"Move along people," Jungkook yelled and like that, the students who were watching the whole encounter began to scatter.

"Weren't you hoping you wouldn't catch much attention?" Jungkook questioned as Jimin helped me back up and Taehyung handed me my bag that I threw aside when I decided to chase Alex.

"Yeah...I just thought he was my brother." I admitted and they gave me soft reassuring smiles before leading me into the school building.

The second I walked into the building, I was met with the typical school stereotype in every movie. Lockers, classrooms, and lots of students are divided into their friend groups.

"Taehyung and I have to go check our lockers, Jungkook will take you to Mrs. Son to get your schedule, locker number, and its lock code," Jimin said before and waved goodbye as he linked arms with Taehyung and walked off.
