CHAPTER 2

Angela's POV

One month in Korea and it was time for me to resume school. My alarm clock woke me up then I did my morning routine in my dorm and was about to go for class when ga rin called me to meet up at the coffee shop before we head to class.
Turns out ga rin and I have the same class this morning, kyung Joon had a different class.

My dorm roommate was yet to resume so I just had to wait and hope the person would be nice.

The moment I entered the shop the aroma of the coffee greeted me and it smells so refreshing, I saw ga rin drinking a milkshake on her table, I smiled and went to the table she was sitting.

She was wearing a frink skirt with a chiffon top accompanied with a black boots. She looked really classy and fashionable. I was just wearing a leggings and a hoodie with a converse, I just didn't have time to go shopping.

"Hey! You ordered without me"I smiled
"Well, you took forever to get here and the aroma of the coffee was just so tempting" I laughed caused ga rin loves to eat but she is so fit.

I went to the counter to get an iced Americano for myself. I waited for my order to be served, when I heard the buzz sound that indicated that my order was ready, I took the coffee and went back to my table.

"How are you feeling about your first day at school?" She asked
I smiled nervously before giving her an answer "well I'm a little bit nervous"

"You don't have to be, I and kyung Joon will be with you the whole time you don't need to worry and trust me since you speak Korean well they will warm up to you" she placed her palm over mine."I hope so ga rin"

We had our coffee and head for school for our first class of the day. My first class was chemistry 101. As I got to class all eyes were fixed on me, I got my lab coat cause we were going to have a practical. I could still feel people's eyes on me but I ignored them cause I was still nervous.

I heard people whispering but didn't pay much attention to that.
When the professor got in everywhere went silent.
It was a class thought in English, the professor is an American.

"Hello everyone, my name is Mr Daniels, I really hope you guys would enjoy my lecture while I teach you"
The students echoed
"Hello professor"
"Alright everyone,  today's class is going to be an introduction to  chemistry in college but before that,turn your textbooks to page 137 we would be doing a little practical from what you've learned in high school"

The class went on for two hours. After the class, it was time for lunch. I and ga rin decided to go for lunch cause we were starving, I haven't seen kyung Joon all day so we called him to meet us at the cafeteria for lunch.
During lunch all kyung asked was how my first class went then I told him it was okay.

"Angela, we are having a freshman party tonight, care to join?, You should join cause it's a tradition of our college" kyung Joon asked. I pretend to think about it for some minutes by stroking my chin like it's a big deal, ga rin was also staring at me with her eyes pleading for me to come. I laughed and said

"Yes, I would come. Do you expect me to at my dorm alone?" Kyung Joon gave a bright smile
"You can be complicated at times, I thought you'd said NO" kyung Joon remarked
"I wasn't being complicated, it's just me being me" ga rin placed her arm over my shoulder to bring my head close to hers.

I check my watch and see I've got class in thirty minutes. I wrapped up my lunch and held my tray to return it.
"Where are you going Angie?" Kyung Joon asked "I've got class KJ"
"Class doesn't start in thirty minutes and it's still our lunch break" ga rin said.

"You and KJ aren't offering this course so I'd better go and find where my next class is, don't want to get lost" I told them
KJ offered to show me the way but I declined cause he also has class to attend and I've got to be independent.

"How are you going to get there?" ga rin asked
"I've got the school map with me, let me get going" I went ahead to drop my tray and head towards the direction of the map.
I heard ga rin yell out " Angie make sure you don't get lost!!" she said it in a sarcastic tone
I let out a small smile, I'm so grateful I've got friends like them here.

I almost got lost, still I found my way to class but I was late.
When I opened the door all eyes went on me. Then the lecturer said "what a great way to start the semester" then I responded "I'm new here, I got lost while searching for the class"
"You may take your sit" the professor directed his hands to the chairs for me to sit.

I found an empty sit beside a guy. I sat down and introduced myself in Korea.
"안녕하세요,제이름은 안게라이예요"
"Annyeonghaseyo,je ireumeun Angela iyeyo"
"Hello, I'm Angela" he just stared at me and looked away. I can't believe that I got snobbed. I can't imagine how rude this guy is.

I decided to try again not because I want to but because I need to know what module the lecture is going on.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, but what page is the lecture being thought from?"
He looked pissed by my question but answered anyway "367" he mumbled. I nodded and got back to what I was doing not minding the rude guy beside me.

I was checking my wrist watch to know when the class would be over. Hours went by and the lecturer was wrapping up.
"Ok guys! That's a wrap for today, but make sure you guys turn your names in for the project, your project partners would be chosen in the next class"
"Yes professor!!" Everyone said in unison.

The professor left the class while the other students went out through the back door.
The rude guy next to me was still sitting there but he was blocking the pathway with his legs
"Excuse me, but can you get your legs off the pathway?" He didn't budge, then I tried to cross over his legs but he tripped me, I felt myself falling to the ground until I held a chair to avoid the impact.

I felt my blood boiling but I tried to keep a calm expression cause it was a new semester and it's too early to get into a fight with a jerk. All I did was smile and went out of the lecture room.

It hasn't been up to a day in school but things are taking a drastic turn and I'm beginning to hate it here. I felt a buzz on my hoodie pocket, I checked the screen to see KJ calling.

"Angela, are you done with class for today?"
"Yes, I am why?" I replied with a tired tone
" I was thinking we should hang out and go for a walk just the three of us" he said
" As much as I'd love to, I have to decline, I need to get the dorm and rest a bit and hope my roommate has resumed"
"Alright then but don't forget about the freshman's party" he said

"Angela, what's wrong? You sound tired" he asked
I was beginning to to get irritated with his questions.

"That's cause I'm tired kj!!" I raised my voice at him
"Alright, I would see you later then" he replied and hung up.
I feel really bad for acting that way towards KJ he was only trying to have fun with me but he called at the wrong time.
