chapter nineteen

"Are you brain dead or just stupid?" Neji shouted at hinata. She was sitting next to his bed and was staring at the ground trying to ignore the tears rolling down her cheeks.

"One of your teammates tried to kill himself, and what does your dumbass do? Jesus hinata how can you be so damn self-centered?!" Neji shouted and she stared at her hands.

"I'm so-" she started

"Call it off" he growled "your not marrying that asshole"

"Yes brother" she solemnly replied and he sighed.

"Get tenten"

"Yes brother" she stood up and walked out the room. Her footsteps echoed through the empty hall. She entered the waiting room to see sasuke and tenten sitting awkwardly.

"Ah, hina is neji okay?" Tenten asked, relived to be free from the tension with the uchiha.

"Yes, he wants you" hinata replied and tenten left the room.

"What's wrong?" Sasuke stood up to take her hand but she pulled away.

"I can't marry you"

"Wh...what?" A ghost of a smile danced on his lips.

"I can't be your wife" she takes his hand and places the ring he had bought in his hand.

"Hinata-" he started.

"It was fun but we both need to grow up" she said looking at the ground "I'm not right for you, you've done things I can't even imagine"

"Hinata please-" he placed his hand on her cheek.

"Please leave" hinata replied "I don't want to be with you"

Those words stabbed sasuke in the heart and he pulled his hand away.

"I.... naruto will give you the crap you left at my house" he replied, his voice dead.

"Thank you" she murmured, avoiding his gaze.

He looked at her, wanting to say something but the words escaped him. He turned on his heel and left the hospital.

He returned to his home and called naruto.

"Hey wassup" naruto grinned into the phone.

"Come get hinata's stuff out ny house.now" sasuke stated.

"Sasuke? What happened?" Naruto asked and sasuke hung up. He closed his eyes and sighed. Before he knew it tears were rolling down his cheeks and his fists were clenched.

"Dammit!" He shouted and punched through the wall mercilessly.

He slumped on the floor and held his head in his hands.

"Everything falling apart" he murmured.

Naruto~

He jogged through the door and approached sasuke.

"Sasuke?" He looked at the uchiha. Sasuke looked up with lifeless eyes.

"Y..you okay?" Naruto asked and sasuke stood up.

"Get her shit and get out" he growled and naruto looked at him.

"What happened?"

"That's none of your concern" sasuke stated "hurry the fuck up"

Naruto looked at him "explain"

"I don't have time for-" sasuke started

"Explain!" Naruto shouted.

"She dumped me!" Sasuke shouted, tears brimming his eyes "I have nothing, so take every thing that's hers and get out!!"

"Sasuke you-"

"Now uzamaki! She doesn't want to see me so nothing fucking matters!" Sasuke yelled and gripped his fists.

"It's okay" naruto reassured and put his hands on sasukes shoulders.

"Don't touch me!" Sasuke yelled and punched naruto in the face.

"She was pregnant uzamaki, she was having my kids and now she doesn't want to see me!"

Naruto looked at sasuke, his mouth slightly open.

"She probably fucking realized how stupid I am" sasuke growled through the tears "what if she doesn't let me see my kid... naruto I loved her"

At that moment, for the first time ever, Sasuke fell apart.

Naruto hugged sasuke close and sasuke cried into his shoulder.

"She only left you because she can't deal with everyone judging her for being with you, she hid it but she got a lot of bad things said about her for being with you"

"I need her" sasuke whispered.

"I know" naruto replied.
