"Can I talk to you later? I'm in the middle of a party, I promise I'll call you back", the call cut off, the background was loud, music booming  and screams could be heard.

A storm was coming, it was heavily raining and she was an hour away from home, she had no raincoat or umbrella to cover her from the harsh rain. Everyone around her were in a hurry to get home as they rushed to get to their destination.

Drenched in the road, she slowly started walking again, this has happened more often than she could count. He was never there when she needed him and yet she could never let him go, it's been years.

Tears filled her eyes as the rain gets heavier, no one could see her sobbing, maybe this is why crying in the rain wasn't so bad.

It was around 9pm and she had just gotten out of the library from studying alone.

Everyone minded their own business and it felt like no one would notice her presence or so she thought.

"You okay? You're all wet!" She looked up to see a figure towering over her holding an umbrella in one hand and some snacks he probably bought from the convenience store in another. "Haerin, hey? You're obviously not okay", he said as he came closer and placed the umbrella above her as he frowned, looking at her in concern.

That was when she realised it wasn't just some guy who approached her, it was  Lee Donghyuck, the guy in a few of her classes.

She just stood there for a few seconds just gazing at him not moving an inch, smiling just slightly maybe to assure him that she was doing just fine, of course no one would have believed that.

"Where do you live? I need to know so I can drop you home, my car is just a minute away" he looked concerned and wrapped his arm around her to lead them to his car.

He took her in his car and started to get in his seat, looking at her he waited for her to answer his question.

"It's really far away and it's late", she felt embarrassed and guilty having been seen in that state and the mess she was in.

"That's exactly why I'm taking you there, it's dangerous for a girl", he gave her a quick smile as he started the car.

"Why would you help me?", she just waited for him to answer her.

"Why not?", he replied after a few seconds.

He hesitated didn't he?

"I think I shouldn't bother you", she tried opening the door but it would not budge.

"Well, are you going to open it?", she gestured to the door pulling at the handle.

"No, put your seat belts on", he gave her a stern look only to look away as he started driving the car.

"I'll be assuming you live in the street next to mine as I see you there often, now see no worries", he smiled at her as he started driving.
