our burning bridge

it was late at night, probably 9 or so. Aysha and I where awake, as usual.

every night a while past lights out, Aysha and I sneak into our special place of magic. we can't practice around any living thing other than our seeing eye animals and each other. we can't hurt each other because we are related and we have a rare bond with our animals so they are safe too.

Aysha and I rode Kassala to the edge of the forest with Lysine on my shoulder. this is where we always practice our magic. If we don't, bad, bad things happen. our magic can be so strong that if we keep it bottled up like we do during the day it will literary suck all the magic in the universe into us.

we got to the big clearing and both went to stand on ancient engraved stones. they where carved for us when we where first born. Kassala stood beside Aysha and Lysine sat on my shoulder.

my sister and I both raised our hands above our heads then slowly brought them down. as we did so, a blinding bright light came off of both of us. I closed my eyes. I love this. I love  being in my true form. when our hands got to our waists we pushed outward with our hands, as if we where holding a bridge rope.

then, a fiery bridge appeared in between Aysha and I. I grinned to myself. now, all we needed to do is let out enough magic and energy that the bridge stops burning. I stepped back and looked down at myself. finally, I was in my true form! it felt amazing, like taking a breath for the first time, or like feeling weightless. I still looked the same but I was three times the size and I was wearing different cloths and accessories as usual.

in my true form Aysha and I can see, but only barely.

"wee" Lysine laughed

I looked at her. Lysine had also turned into her true form. An owl.

*all the images are on the next chapter. the outfit, jewelry and animals are very important later on*

I have lots of jewelry on now. I looked like this every time I was in my true form. I shrunk back down to normal size.

I looked over at Aysha and Kassala. Aysha and I looked identical. Kassala was not an owl though. she was a wolf. I spread my arms wide and I started to float upwards when I heard a little rustling by the edge of the clearing. someone, or something was here. and if we used our magic, they could die.
