Walking Home

Is that a car or the wind howling in my ear?
Either way, I hear a crescendo
The world gets louder just like my thoughts
And I'm cold and tired and thinking of you

On the road with you on my mind
These buildings are our future plans
These roads the paths our feet will travel
We'll be together, hand in hand

The song changes from fast to slow
And the cars come to a standstill
I've got a present for you in my pocket
Out of this world and thinking of you

Two years ago I walked these streets
With my dear Anna
She left, one year went by
His name started with an L
But now it's you and I wouldn't trade this feeling for anything else
I can't shake the feeling it was always meant to be this way

On the road with you on my mind
These buildings are our future plans
These roads the paths our feet will travel
We'll be together, hand in hand
