A Mystery Man

Chapter 4 - The Sleep Over

As Charlie, Stella, and Sophia headed up stairs where Luke and Lucy were Sophia asked, " Why are you guys breathing so hard. You sounds like you just ran a marathon." Everyone entered the room and Charlie began to talk.

Charlie - Before i got here i went to my room and my stuff was all over the floor and my drawers were open. I was confused so i asked my grandma if she was in my room but she said no and when i looked out the window i saw someone in my yard. I opened my window to see who was there but they had all ready disappeared by the time i opened the window.

Stella - Yeah, my room was the same way and i know it someone from my family because my mom was cooking dinner, and my dad was watching TV.

Luke - Was it your dog?

Stella - No, Robin was on the couch with my dad.

Lucy - That's weird. Nothing like that happened to me.

Sophia - Yeah, i didn't notice anything different about my room.

Charlie - I know this might sound weird but... what if it was Chase?

Lucy - Maybe, but why would he sneak into your house?

Luke - Well he did seem really interested in Charlie and only Charlie, why would he sneak into Stella's house?

Sophia - Maybe he's planning on sneaking into all of our houses.

Charlie - He kinda creeps me out.

Everyone - I know right.

Charlie - Well, thats not the only thing

Stella - Yeah, on the way over we heard someone making noise in a bush and then we saw someone.

Sophia - Maybe we should stop worrying about Chase and have some fun.

Lucy - Yeah i agree

Luke - My mom made cookies. So we can get our stuff set up and then go eat some.

Everyone took their sleeping stuff down to the basement and laid it on the ground. Luke and Charlie laid their sleeping bags to the right of the tv and Stella, Sophia, and Lucy laid their stuff on the left side of the TV. They all headed upstairs to the kitchen and ate some cookies.

Charlie - These cookies are really good

Sophia- I agree, your mom is really good at baking

Luke - Thanks, ill make sure to tell her

Once everyone finished their cookies Stella and Sophia headed down stairs. Luke went to the closet to grab blankets and pillows for a fort and Charlie went to the bathroom. Charlie finished in the bathroom and went to help Luke. Both the boys came down stairs with pillows and blankets.

Luke - Where should we build the fort?

Sophia - We should put it in the corner right here.

Stella - Yeah we should that way we have room to watch TV and play games.

Charlie and Luke - OK, that's fine.

Everyone grabbed blankets and started to build the fort but the blankets kept falling.

Luke - Let me ask my mom if we have any Tacks for the wall.

Luke went upstairs to his moms room and said, "Hey mom, do you know if we have any tacks i could use?"

Olivia - What do you need tacks for?

Luke - The fort keeps falling down, so we need them to hold up the blankets.
