I see you standing there
Over in the corner
Your face so red,
So so red.
I know what's coming.
I know I can't do anything.
I know you don't mean it.
You wouldn't dare mean it.
Would you?
I know you're going to be sorry.
Aren't you?
But still
Here I stand,
Watching you come closer.
Your fists now clenched
Your face now steaming
I'm scared. I- I want to run
But I can't seem to move.
Besides you don't mean it...
Right?
You reach me
You start your beating
One punch...
Two punch...
Three punch,
Four.
A kick
Another,
Oh and once more.
I stopped counting.
Did I or did I lose count?
The tears start streaming down my face,
One tear, two tear, three tears...
Floor.
Sorry,
I know you don't like me crying.
I know it makes you more... angry.
I beg you to stop.
I beg like I've never begged before.
Finally it stops.
I stand up and I look at you...
You look like you've seen a ghost?
Are you ok?
Red everywhere,
You used to love that colour on me.
But why is it all over you?
Slowly I back away but I hit something.
What is that?
I turn around and see it.
See myself on the floor
Lying there unconscious.
Lying there, lifeless.
You start crying, you say you're sorry.
You didn't mean to take it out on me,
That I know what you're like.
You start shouting at me,
Angry I haven't yet responded...
But it's too late
I'm gone.
You killed me.
I'm gone.
You killed me.
I thought you loved me.-MJE
