Chapter 3

Zaiko POV

A few nights have passed since I got an earful from Tatsu and  we both decided to go to the hero association to see if they had something for us to do. I doubt that they do.

When we arrived we saw two men and a women talking about City Z and I believe a man. I looked at Tatsu and nodded and she did as well signaling that we would listen to their conversation.

Man 1: The man in City Z that was apprehended by a Class C hero is suspected of being being involved in several heinous crimes, including assassination.

Man 2: City Z...what's the status of the investigation I requested?

Female: The one for the ghost town.

Man 2: Yes.

Femal: We've submitted an official request.

I wasn't going to say anything since I already knew that Tatsu was going to say something.

Tatsumaki: Well doesn't that sound interesting.

Man 2 : Wha..

Tatsumaki: Want us to go?

Man 2: Tornado? Nightfire? Where did the two of you come from?

Tatsumaki: Aren't we allowed here?

Man 2: Of course you are. But for City Z the investigation is just a formality.

Tatsumaki: What? You think we're not good enough?

I see Tatsu's green aura start to surround her body. She's starting to get angry which is not something anyone wants. Before she starts to destroy this entire room I put my hand on her shoulder and say.

Zaiko: Relax Tatsu the association probably doesn't think a S Class hero is needed for this investigation.

Women: Nightfire is right the association decided that this is was not a S Class matter.

Man 2: YES!!! That's exactly right.

Tatsu's green aura starts to disappear, she closes her eyes and makes a hmp sound which I find really cute.

Tatsumaki: You'd better tell us if you find anything that looks like it can fight.

And with that we make our exit from the room we were in. I'm glad I was able to stop her from wrecking everything in that room. Before we exit Tatsu turns to the group of three.

Tatsumaki: It'd be so much faster if we went there. You're such an idiot.

- Small time skip -

Me and Tatsu decided to stick around and see if those three did need any help of sorts but I don't really think they did but Tatsu wanted to stay and I quote " make them look like idiots " right now were on our way back to the room and boy was I was wrong, the three from before were panicking so much, I was honestly surprised they seemed like they had things under control when we left.

Women: We have a backup request from the hero's dispatched to City Z. Class A rank 29 Golden Ball has been knocked out. Class A rank 33, is in trouble. They're in the abandoned city.

Man 2: Call in nearby hero's for immediate assistance!! Class A and above!!

We stayed hidden again to see if things would get better. Tatsu had a smirk on her face which I'm not gonna lie looked pretty hot.

Some time have passed since that investigation incident happened and things seem to have calm down... I think.  Right now Tatsu was giving an earful to that guy from before.

Tatsumaki: See I told you we should have gone!

Man2: But... faced with this, I'm sure even the two of you would have had a tough time.

Zaiko: I doubt we would have have trouble with that monster especially the two of us. No disrespect to you.

The man just look at me with a look that basically pleaded me to help him from Tatsu's wrath.

Tatsumaki: hmp we would've been fine you idiot!

Zaiko: c'mon Tatsu the situation has long passed. There's nothing we could have done about it . Don't worry next time there's an investigation like this or any other monster they will be sure to send us right.

Man2: Yes! That's right.

Tatsumaki: hmp fine you'd better send us next time. Come on Zaiko let's go home I'm hungry so make me dinner.

As we make our way out of the association and and start heading home. I can't help but think back to my conversation with Genos. I sensed someone strong inside that noodle place. I'm positive that it wasn't my imagination but who was it I've never sensed something like that before I might have to poke around to find out who that person is...But now that I think about it there's no need to poke around because i have a feeling that we'll cross paths in the future.
