chapter 1; roomie

KIM SOON-YEON POV;

I walk into the room holding two envelopes with a huge grin on my face, Sun-Mi gets the message and starts squealing in joy. I place the envelopes on my desk and join her as we start jumping on the bed in excitement. "I wonder if we are room-mates" she says with doe eyes and I show her the room-mate list and we are together. How ironic. 

Currently, me and my best friend are planning to break my bed by jumping on it too hard in excitement since we got into the same university AND got paired as room-mates. I swear im gonna faint, i am overjoyedd. Sun-Mi suddenly changes her expression to a serious one.

"Wait a sec, it looks like we have a third room-mate."

Sun-Mi suddenly says. However I am too busy in my world of trying to break my bed by jumping on it too much and then not having enough money to pay for a new bed and then having to sleep on the floor. She quickly waves her hand in front of my face as I am suddenly snapped out of it when she says that and I shrug "whattt?". "The room-mate's name is kinda faded on this list so I can't see who it is but there is a third person. I didn't pay attention as I was in my own happy world.

I was smiling to myself like an idiot as Sun-Mi looked quite concerned. I folded my legs and sat cross-legged on the bed, snapping my fingers in front of her face to get her out of some trance. "Wait a sec, imma get my laptop" she said and scurried off the bed soon coming back with her laptop in her hands. She fixed her glasses on her face and tucks a strand of hair behind her ear.

"what are you doing?" I ask out of pure curiosity since she suddenly switched her behavior in a matter of seconds. Damn this dualityyy. I look at the screen and it suddenly hits me.  I giggle after realizing it. Why didn't we think of this before? "hacking the school website, huh? smart. i see you learnt from your intelligent best friend." i grinned and pointed at myself as she playfully hit my arm and i pretended to be shocked with my mouth agape.

"alrighty im almost done, i just need to figure this coding. Stealing a glance at the computer, I tell her the code to write as I am a big nerd and know almost EVERYTHING about coding. "braniac." she rolls her eyes jokingly as I laugh. She pressed enter as the name of the third room-mate slowly appears on the screen.
