"K-Kagura?" Kagome said, her voice quiet. "Do you like her?"

Sesshomaru's ambered colored eyes bore into her dark chocolate ones, "At a time like this, you're asking if I like Kagura?" 

Kagome swallowed, "N-No. Nevermind."

"Well, we lost Inuyasha, but we got his older brother" Miroku said, "Pretty good exchange if you ask me" he added nonchalantly with a shrug. 

"MIROKU!" Sango scolded.

"Kagome" Sesshomaru said, "Can you sense a sarced jewel?"

"Oh, um" Kagome remaned silent for a couple of seconds before perking up. "Over there!" she said pointing to an area to the North.

Sesshomaru turned, "Hm. A cloud of maisma" he said before jumping up and flying, leaving the others.

"W-wait!" Kagome called out as Kirara transformed into her larger form.

"What" 

"I-I can't fly. And Inuyasha's the one who usually carries me..." Kagome traied off.

"Go on Kirara" Sesshomaru said like it was obvious.

"There is no more room" Sango cut him.

"Yah, because Miroku is so fat" Shippo added.

"HEY!" Miroku defended himself. "No it's because..." he stopped himself knowing that he's not gonna get anything good out of arguing with a woman and a child.

Sesshomaru landed back on the ground. "Useless" he mumbled before sweeping Kagome off her feet and lifting her up, bridal style. 

Kagome let out a small screech at his sudden movements.

Without another word, Sesshomaru flew towards the cloud of maisma. And Naraku. 

"WAIITTTTT LORD SESSHOMARUUU" Jaken called on the ground, "I CAN'T FLY"

"Kirara" Sango said. Kirara understood, she bent down and swoop the small demon onto her head. "Go" Sango said again. With a burst of energy, Kirara lifted off and followed Sesshomaru. 

"Sesshomaru?" Kagome said.

Sesshomaru didn't respond, he just looked down at her. 

"How do you know Kagura?"

Sesshomaru closed his eyes and then reopened them, "I forgot"

"No you didnt"

"Be quiet"

Kagome bit on her bottom lip, but didn't ask any more questions. She snuggled herself in Sesshomaru's embrace, she didn't want the ride to end.

But it did. Way too soon.

Sesshomaru landed and let Kagome down. Kagome stumbled a bit, but she soon steadied herself.

Kirara landed with the others and Sango ran up to Kagome, "The maisma is strong here, are you sure you can stand it Kagome?" Sango already had her mask on.

Kagome nodded, "Yeah"

The forest opened up to reveal a large mansion shrouded in maisma. A mansion only Naraku will live in. There were skeletons scattered around the area, they were probably poisoned by maisma. 

"There's demons here" Sesshomaru warned.

Kagome nodded as she grabbed an arrow and got ready to shoot. Everyone was on edge. There was a rustling of leaves and something, or someone, emerged. Kagome pulled back on her bow and was about to shoot when the leaf covered object spoke.

"Kago..me?"

Kagome knitted her eyebrows in confusion, "Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha wiped the leaves from his hair and his kimono. "What are you guys doing here" he asked when his eyes landed on his older brother. His amber colored eyes, identicial to the ones Sesshomaru possessed, narrowed. "With him" he snarled.

"I could ask you the same thing" Kagome spoke up nodding her head in the direction of where Kikyo stood.

"So you replaced with him huh" Inuyasha said harshily, his eyes staring daggers at his older brother, "Right after I left."

"Same goes with you Inuyasha. You replaced me with Kikyo" Kagome's voice was cold. Her chocolate eyes, no longer warm, stared at Kikyo. She would have loved to accept Kikyo, seeing that Kagome is the reincarnation of her. But she can't. Not when Kikyo stole something really valuable from her.
