Shippo's Heartfelt Words

"ALRIGHT GUYS!" Shippo's shrill voice cut through the tension. "We're here to fight Naraku, not our friends."

"Shippo's right" Miroku agreed stepping in. "We have to find Naraku and kill him"

"I will be the one that will destroy Naraku" Sesshomaru said, "I want revenge"

For killing Kagura? To Kagome's surprise, she felt jealousy churning in her gut.

Inuyasha snorted, "What friends"

Tearing her gaze from Sesshomaru, she stared at Inuyasha. Her eyes wide.

"None of you guys are my friends"

Kagome's breath hitched. 

"Inuyasha..." Miroku's voice trailed off. 

"WOW I SEE HOW IT IS INUYASHA" Shippo screamed running up to Inuyasha and thunking him on the head. "YOU'RE SUCH A LITTLE GIRL! JUST BECAUSE KAGOME DOESN'T CARE FOR YOU AS A LOVER, DOESN'T MEAN SHE DOESN'T CARE FOR YOU AS A FRIEND. YES I KNOW KAGOME HURT YOUR FEELINGS, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN JUST THROW AWAY ALL OF OUR FRIENDSHIP JUST TO AVOID ONE PERSON! ALL THOSE TIMES WE SPENT TOGETHER. ALL THOSE MEMORIES WE MADE. ALL OF THE DANGERS WE FACED.  YOU'RE TELLING ME--TELLING US--THAT YOU'RE JUST GONNA THROW THEM TO THE SIDE SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU GOT REJECTED" By the time Shippo was done, he was breathing hard. Everyone was staring him with surprise.

"Shippo..." Sango murmured. Kirara, having already shifted back into her cuter form, trotted next to Shippo and nudged him with her nose. 

"Inuyasha" Shippo said slowly, "You are so annoying sometimes but--" his voice hitched. "I wanna make more memories, spend more time and face more dangers with you."

Kagome stared at Shippo; his eyes were bright with tears.

"I know we always fought, but Inuyasha, I really like your company. I really like being with all of you. Being you guys were the best days of my life even though we have gone through so much and had so many near death experiences" by now, tears were trickling down Shippo's soft squishy cheeks. "I don't want them to end."

Kagome, hearing Shippo's words, started to tear up. "Oh Shippo" It's already too late. Inuyasha hates me. 

"OW!! INUYASHA!"

"Shuddap and stop being such a baby Shippo" Inuyasha sneered grabbing the back of Shippo's shirt and lifting him up in the air. "That was for hitting on the head earlier" he smirked.

"You! KAGOMEEE! HELP ME!" Shippo squealed.

Despite herself, Kagome couldn't help but smile. "Inuyasha!" she pretended to scold.

"Whatt" he responded in that nonchalant way of his. 

Kagome let out a chuckle, "C'mon, pick on someone your own size"

"YEAH!" Shippo chipped in.

"Oh shuttup" Inuyasha mumbled to Shippo as he dropped the little fox demon to the floor. Shippo just stook his tongue out at the hanyou.

"Let's go defeat Naraku" Inuyasha said looking back at his crew of friends, "together"
