Déjà vu (Levi x reader)

Chapter 15

(Y/N) POV

"You're fired." These words swiveled in my head.

"What?Why!?"

"As I've already explained.. its not safe for you-"

"I didn't do anything!" I got up banging my hands onto her table. Her eyes followed from my hands to my face.

"Understand (Y/N)! I've been getting multiple calls! If doctors aren't safe,how the hell do you expect the patients to be safe!" She yelled back. I was breathing heavily. I mean.. she was right.

"I'm sorry.. but it had to be done. I'll finish the paper work. I'll make sure to give a valid reason on your certificate.You can pick up your things tomorrow-"

"No. It's fine. I'll get it done today. Well thanks." I got up and left the room. "for nothing." I mumbled. I walked into the doctors locker room and looked at my locker. i mean.. i got most of my things are hospital property... can i take it with me?

Screw it. I got fired. I'm taking everything with me. I scavenged a brown cardboard box and stuff some of the books in and my doctors coat and stuffed my personal things on top so that no one knows i stole hospital property. I glanced at Suoh's empty locker. My heart felt heavy.

'Nobody is safe with you.' Is what she actually wanted to say. Well, it's true. I turned to look at Suzu's locker. It was still not cleared up. I set my cardboard box on the table and walked over to the locker. I dug through her stuff. Just some books and her lab coat. which felt heavy. I dug through the pockets only to fish out a very familiar looking crystal. I set the lab coat down and called Levi.

"Hello?"

"Yea. Levi?"

"What?"

"Rude as ever I see. Well first things first. Where is the crystal?"

"It's right here." It went quiet. "Yea. Its here."

"Yea. I figured." I sighed. "I found another one of these crystals in Suzu's coat. Where are you?" i Asked stuffing the crystal into my tight pocket. I knew the crystal wouldn't fall out. I dug through the things a little more, but nothing seemed important.

"Im at the hotel."

"Ok. Stay there. I'll be there." I ended the call and put back her stuff in its original position..or at least a position where it didn't look like someone snooped through the stuff.

Going back in a crowded bus with a cardboard box full of your thing which practically screamed that I was unemployed was rather uncomfortable. I got a bunch of pitiful looks from people. Some high schooler's laughed in my face. A very crappy day indeed. I was elated to get out of the bus and onto the hotels road. I walked rather slowly, dragging my feet on the pavement. My eyes met steel blue eyes and my feet stopped its sloth like movement. That damned posing potato sac was leaning against the brick wall of the hotel. His eyes fell of my cardboard box. He pushed himself off the wall. Damn it. The lean was beautiful. He walked slowly towards me.

"What happened?"

"I got fired."

"You should have told me on the phone."

"Eh. ts cool. I'll do something I guess. Maybe work in a fast food restaurant." He took the box from my hands and turned around walking away. I followed close behind. "Why were you fired?" He asked suddenly after a long pause of silence. "Ah. You know. For endangering life." I said casually. We entered into the building and stepped into the elevator. We stood quietly. Once we reached the floor we walked down the corridor. I could hear Eren screaming at someone. Probably Jean. Levi turned with an annoyed glance at the door. It was almost as if they figured out Levi was glaring at them through the door. They went silent. We continued along the corridor. I somehow managed to beg and get the room on the same floor with the soldiers. We stopped in front of room. I took out the keys from other pocket and realized i had another crystal.
