The Bandits Poison

Lance and Piper walked back down the hall towards the stairs. They started their ascent when someone behind them said

"So you managed to get on board, I figured you would." The bandit pulled a bow off his shoulder and notched an arrow and aimed it right at Lance. "I wish I could kill both of you right now but master wishes to kill you himself for the annoyance you've caused him as for you." he said to Piper "he said nothing of the sort." The Elf turned his bow and fired directly at Piper. Lance tried to slash the arrow like how he had earlier but was to late the arrow impaled in her arm she screamed in agony.

"I'd estimate she has about five minutes maybe ten." He said

"Till what?" Lance said angrily

"Oh just about how long she has to live." The bandit said

"I think your mistaken cause that arrow hit her arm that kinda shot isn't lethal." Lance said

"Oh but it is when the arrow is laced with poison." The bandit snarled. Piper was still on the floor but this seemed to grab her attention

"Wha.. What poison what are you talking about." Piper screamed

"Oh well before I came to you I dipped my arrows in a highly fatal poison and only one person has the antidote, Me And your only getting it by killing me which isn't going to happen." Piper stifled a scream.

"No way im gonna let you die Piper just hang in there. " Lance didn't have time to think of a strategy piper was in trouble so he took a risk and charged this seemed to take the Bandit by surprise which gave Lance a small advantage but the elf thief recovered quickly as Lance swung his sword the Bandit moved his bow in front of the sword blocking the attack but it still broke his bow. He dropped his bow and pulled two of his poisoned arrows out of the quiver wielding them like daggers. The bandit delivered a ferocious flurry of attacks stabbing with his arrows Lance narrowly avoiding them. One of the times the bandit lunged Lance interpreted his attack grabbing him by his wrist pulling him forward and stabbing the bandit through the stomach. The bandit
dropped and laid there lifeless and Lance quickly searched him and found a vile of purple liquid. He rushed to piper she was laying unconscious of the stairs her breath staggering he opened her mouth and poured the liquid down her throat instantly her breathing began to pick up and steady itself and suddenly she awoke.

"You saved me." Piper said still dazed

"For the second time" Lance said

"Oh shut up." Piper retorted

"Ok... ok miss damsel in distress."Lance said. Piper bit back a smile.

"Lets get out of here. shall we?" Piper said

"Yeah" Lance said standing up. Piper began to stand but staggered Lance reached his hand out to help and this time she accepted and stood with the help off Lance and together they continued up the stairs and onto the deck of the ship. What they found was terrifying a dozen or more bandits all with arrows notched and aimed right at them.

"At last you've made it" said a deep booming voice " now the fun begins."
