"Alright. Violet, Clem, AJ and Brody, I want you guys to go down to the stream and see if you can catch any fish. Louis, Aasim, Willy, I want you guys to go and check the hunting traps." Marlon instructed.

The two groups nodded and went off to complete their tasks. Marlon turned to you and the boy stood beside you, "(Y/N), Mitch, I want you guys to go up to the greenhouse. Make sure everything there is under control and water the plants."

You heard a small scoff from beside you. "Why do I have to go with them?"

You let out a sigh, already annoyed even though the day had only just started.

Mitch didn't like you. At all. In case that wasn't already obvious.

He was fine with you when you first arrived at the school with Clementine and AJ, he was actually pretty friendly. However, over time he began to get more bitter towards you, and would say horrible things to you for seemingly no reason.

The worst part was, you had absolutely no idea what you'd done to make him dislike you so much. You were always nice and respectful towards him.

Well, you used to be, anyway. Not so much anymore. Since he hated you, and was very vocal about it, you slowly began to hate him as well.

So, in a nutshell, you guys very much disliked being around one another and Marlon was making a big mistake by making you both go to an area alone with each other.

"Because I said so." Marlon narrowed his eyes. "You guys need to put your differences aside and get along for a while, now go."

Mitch huffed and shot a glare at you, which you returned.

"Whatever." He turned and headed towards the direction of the greenhouse, grumbling to himself.

You sighed again and reluctantly followed him, keeping your distance as if he had the plague or something.

Before long, you both made it to the greenhouse. Mitch pushed open the door and stepped inside, closing the door in your face right as you were about to walk in.

"Fucking-" You gritted your teeth angrily and took in a breath, pushing the door open again and walking inside.

You made eye contact with Mitch and glared at him. "Any reason for that? Or are you just an asshole? I'm assuming it's the second one."

"Shut up, bitch."

You frowned and watched Mitch pick up a watering can.

"Empty... fill it up." He tossed it over to you, and you just barely caught it.

"I'm not your slave." You replied, glaring daggers into the back of the boy's head.

"Just shut up and do it. I wanna get this shit over with."

You frowned again and sighed heavily, deciding not to argue further. You set down the watering can and pulled your backpack off your back, unzipping it and pulling out a half empty bottle of water.

You unscrewed the cap and took a small sip, then poured what was left into the watering can. You put the bottle away and picked up the can, watering some of the nearby herbs.

You hummed softly to yourself as you watered the plants, getting lost in your own little world.

"Could you shut up?"
