I set the flag aside and took a deep breath, trying my best to forget about it. I looked back down at the box and noticed that the bottom was loose. I started to pull it up when I heard Tony mutter oh my god, looking up I realized that he had just grabbed the flag. Tony passed the flag around and everyone was looking at me concerned, I ignored them and pulled the compartment out. Under the first container was a bigger compartment. I realized too late that the first part was just warming up.
In the box was a small gun, a small slip of paper, three small portrait photos, a small pair of ballet pointe shoes, four normal sized photo prints, and a note. I picked up the gun first, it was the first gun I ever used, I dropped it out of hatred and fear. I felt something building inside of me, a mix of anger, hatred, and fear. On the slip of paper where two addresses the first one, Rakhinskaya Ulitsa, 64, Volgograd, Volgogradskaya oblast', Russia, 400012, was my old address where my family lived before it was burnt down. I flipped the paper over, the second address was, Frunzensky District, St Petersburg, Russia, 192284, it was my brothers address when I killed him.
I could feel my fear rising above my anger. I pulled out the portrait photos, the first one was my brother, Second Ivan, third Madam B. They made me mad, especially the one of my brother, where they trying to blame me for his death when I was forced. I tucked my brothers photo safely in my pocket. I picked up the photos of Ivan and madam B and promptly tore them in half letting the pieces fall to the table.
"I feel like I'm invading a private moment, but who where the people in the photos?" Tony's curiosity got the better of him again.
"My brother, Ivan, and Madam B." Silence.
"I think I'm not needed here, I should leave." Bruce added to the uncomfortable silence. Tony had gotten timid too and nodded before getting up. Clint my best friend had known me before S.H.I.E.L.D, smiled softly and left as well. After the rest had left Steve started to get up, but I couldn't stand it, I couldn't be alone, I was afraid of myself.
"Steve.", I said my voice braking and my accent coming through as I grabbed his arm, "don't go. Oh god please don't leave me alone." I was getting weak and I now believe the others left because they saw me breaking, and that scared them, the strongest member, the infamous Black Widow finally snapping.
Steve sat back down on the couch with and put his arm around me, pulling me in he just hugged me. After awhile I decided I wasn't going to brake yet.
"We need to get through the rest of the box."
"Only if you talk to me. Please talk to me." Taking a deep breath I started to explain. Pointing to the gun on the table I started.
"That's my first gun, it was the first time I shot someone, oh god. They where defenseless and blind folded, it wasn't fair." He rubbed my back reassuringly so I continued. Handing the piece of paper to him I explained. The one on the front was my family's home, on the back my brothers. He set the paper down after he read it, ready to move on. Oh only if it was that easy for me, if it was just some long forgotten objects in a box... but for me, it was something else.
