Y/n's Point of View

Elena was showing us around the base, pointing to a few buildings while we walked, explaining the use of them, and showing us the inside. We made it to the gym and find a few men in there training like animals. The bald guy that I assume was Jack noticed us and started walking to us.

"You, how do you know my name, punk?" He asks, looking me up and down.

"Jack, calm down please." Elena quietly said.

Jack shook his head. "Nope, this is between us."

I place my hand on his shoulder and chuckle. "Alibi said your name a little too loud, Jack."

"you are not welcome here, Pauly D." He said before he went back to lifting weights.

His strength was impressive, but his technique was wrong. I was about to correct him when Elena pulled my arm. She continues to show us some different rooms and stopped in front of the firing range. An SAS soldier walked to us and held his hand out.

"Mike Baker, Thatcher on the field." Mike said in a heavy English accent.

Angelo and I shook his hand. "Angelo Romano, Speedster. This is Y/n Amato, I guess codenamed Angelfire."

I felt someone else in the area sneaking behind me. "You can stop tryna scare me, I can hear ya." I got tackled and pinned to the ground. Taina stared at me and smiled. "Care to explain what happened earlier?"

"Taina? What are you doing?" Mike asks, a younger SAS member walking to him.

Taina just laid on top of me like a cat. She still stared at me, the figurative hearts burning with passion. I look over to the other four just watching the interaction.

"What the bloody hell is this!?" The new guy exclaimed, a smile forming on Mike's face. "Oh yeah, I'm Mark and I hate Dokkaebi's phone calls."

"Who's Dokkaebi?" I ask from the ground, a vibration starting in my pocket. "Hello?"

"Hi, I'm Grace. I see you're a hacker too. We'll get along just fine." The voice said, hanging up quickly.

"That answers my question. Well, I'm Y/n, that's Angelo. We are ex-mafiosi."

Mark nodded and took his phone out. "Argh, come on, Grace. I don't have time for this shite." He slipped it into his pocket again. "Sorry, nice to meet you guys. Seriously, again!?" He brought the phone up to his ear. "What? No. Why would I? Fine. Ugh, I gotta help her "find her tablet", I'll see you later."

I didn't notice that Taina pinned my arms to the ground until I tried getting up. "Um, Taina?"

"I gotcha." Mike said, picking Taina off my body. "What the hell is wrong with you? You never do this."

Taina looked past him and smiled at me. "Y/n, run!" Angelo yelled, the small Brazilian pushing the Brit out of the way.

I ran from the girl, nearly getting caught on many occasions. She caught up to me and pounced on my back. I took a chance and rolled on the ground, and much to my surprise, she recovered quickly. I run into the gym and dodge the incoming metal bars, occasionally hitting my hip. I do a lap around the gym and run out, immediately hitting a brick wall made of flesh.

"Comrade, watch out." The Russian accent warned.

We both pull apart and let Taina run past us. I flash the beefy Russian a smile and a nod, making my way back to the shooting range. I made it back, recovering from my two mile run. Angelo had his duffle bag in his hand. I slowly walk to him and start wheezing.

"Asthma," I start coughing, "is a bitch."

Mike chuckled and slapped my back. "Yep, wait till you get to the age of hating laser sights."

I point to the air and agreed. An annoyed Mark returned with a cheery Korean. "Y/n, Angelo, meet-"

"Grace Nam, Dokkaebi on missions." She finished, sticking her small hand out.

We shook hands and awkwardly stood there. Grace pushed her glasses up and crossed her arms. Mark rocked his feet. Mike whistled a hymn. Elena sat on a table. Angelo inspected his guns. I yawn and cracked my neck. After a minute of silence, we all agreed to go eat.

I grab a tray and sit with Mike, the rest of our mixed group joining us after. I can feel the awkwardness of the tables around us, which really didn't bother me. Angelo decided to relieve the unintentional stress by asking questions about the base. "What do you do here, Baker?"

"Please, Mike is fine. As for what we do, we take down terrorists." He slurped his spaghetti. "And it seems the Amato family mafia is associating with our biggest threat, the White Mask."

Then it clicked. My mom and dad told me about them collaborating with our family, right before they were shot. I was nine at the time, and Angelo barely rolled into town a few years before that, so we didn't fully understand the concept of terrorism and death. I snap back into reality and interrupt Angelo and Mike's QnA.

"I see why Jack said that we were not welcome here, Angel. We were terrorists before we even knew it." I explain, the whole table hearing the conversation. "Too loud?"

"Well yeah, you got the whole bloody mess hall's eyes on you again." Mark sarcastically remarked, Grace's hand being placed on his shoulder.

"Told you. Get out." Jack called from another table.

"Let me explain myself." I say, running to the door. I turn to see Jack sprinting towards me. "Where the fuck is Harry?" I find the door and frantically knock on it.

"Y/n, back so soon?" I rush in and lock the door.

Harry gave me a confused look and sat down. "Sorry about barging in, sir. But Jack is hunting me down."

Harry nodded and took a duffel bag out from under his desk. "I also believe these are yours?"

I nod and grab the bag. The door handle shook as heavy breathing was heard. "Y/n, I can see your heart beating. Can't fool me." Jack angrily said from behind the door. "Wait, what?"

I started to slow down my heart rate. I learned this in prison. Fool people by making them think I'm dying of heart failure, but really I'm just slowing my heart rate over time. I hear his boots walk away from the wood.

"You aren't welcomed and accepted quite yet?" Harry asks. I nod in response. "Yeah, I think it's best that you go to sleep. Here's the keys, have a good night Y/n."

I wave to Harry one last time before venturing off to the dorms. I open the door to see Angelo and Elena making out on the couch.

"Is this what sex is?" I snicker as Elena tries to explain herself. "Come on, you guys coulda kissed in the room, now the leather couch smells like Angelo's ass."

"How do you know what my ass smells like?" Angelo sat up and placed and elbow on his knee.

"You just smell like culo bro. Like you take a shit, then a hot shower without flushing." I respond, setting my duffel bag on the floor.

Elena gave me a curious look. "What's in there?"

I smile and bring out my Spas 12. "Guns." I take the other two out and clean them. "I gotta watch out for Jack. He's on my ass again."

Elena rolled her eyes. "He'll be fine tomorrow. He's just really tired, Jack went on ten missions in a span of two weeks. Who you need to really worry about is Lion. He, isn't the friendliest operator, not by a long shot."

We all go to bed a few minutes after, Elena going back to her dorm. Angelo took the bed closer to the door while I chose the farthest. A small locker filled the empty space between us, most likely used for guns and uniforms. I lay awake and sit up, hearing a quiet snore from Angelo.

"Jesus, can you snore louder?"

"Why yes I can." Angelo said in his sleep, going back to snoring.

"I need to figure out what Jack is on. I'm pretty sure Angelo wants some energy." I think to myself as the darkness was consuming the room.
