Y/n's Point of View

Taina held my hand as we went back to the simulation room. Mike was leaning against the doorway when he noticed us.

"Won't you look who it is. It's a lovely couple." He gave me a hearty chuckle.

We quickly separate our hands and look away.

"Uh, Mike, i-it's not what it seems."

"Yeah, I don't even like him." Taina looked at me and turned away again.

"Bullshite, come on." Mike led me to the garage, where a plethora of vehicles stood. "Go on, pick your favorite."

"Wait, we get to ride these!?" The group laughed and nodded. "Nobody specifically owns these?"

"Come on, you're taking forever." Taina dragged me to a random car and stuffed me inside the front. "Sorry, I just want some alone time with you."

"You're completely fine." I grab a hold of the steering wheel and make an unsure sound. "How the hell do you drive in England?"

Taina laughed as the back doors opened. Mark and Grace hopped in and smiled.

"Heyo." Grace greeted.

"Sup, guys?" Mark saw my struggle and chuckled. "Do you not know how to drive this?"

"No, I'm from America! Of course I don't." Grace switched me places and took off after the others. "Yeah, I'm not driving here."

Mark chuckled and slapped my back. "Oi, Taina. You two had fun?"

Taina froze up and blushed. "Mark, shut it. I'll stick a knife in your neck." She looked back to me and smiled. "Where are we going?"

"Big Moe's Diner. We want our American friend to feel at home." Mark gave me a warm smile and shook me. "You are gonna have a blast."

"I'm trusting you with my life, man. Oh, a reminder, I will not this Jersey accent when we walk in, since, you know, the mafia."

"Ah, I already forgot about that. How did you leave?" Grace peeked from the rearview mirror.

I chuckle and lay back. "It's a long story. I'll tell you when we come back." I spot the rest of the vehicles at a diner. "Is this it?"

Grace stops and gets out. "Come on, this is the place." I get out and walk inside, a 1 950's inspired diner coating the inside. "Cool, huh?"

"Woah, they have a car!?"

Mike came up behind me and chuckled. "We booked this for this big party we were planning for the two of you, but your friend isn't here to experience it."

"I don't care about Angelo, I care about the food." I was about to run off when Taina held me by my hoodie. "Buzzkill."

"We can't have you running around like a child, remember?" She laughed and messed with my hair. "You're so cute when you pout." She stopped herself and widened her eyes. "I- I mean, fuck."

Mike elbowed me and chuckled. "Come on, lads. You're holding up the line."

I turn to the long line and nod. "Sorry, I'm new here." I say in a stereotypical American accent. "You like the accent, huh, short stack?"

Taina punched me and stopped in front of a booth. "Go ahead and sit down."

"No, you take a seat. I'm a real gentleman who gives a lady a seat."

"Well I'm a lady who takes advantage of gentlemen like you." Taina smiled and raised an eyebrow. "But I won't, since it's your special party, you take a seat."

"I insist. A woman like you deserves better than me."

"Oh, for Christ's sake, take a bloody seat, both of ya." Mike chuckled and looked to us. "There's only one way to do it. One of ya are gonna have to sit in the other's lap."

The group laughed and snickered. Taina and I look at each other and blush. We stutter on our words and shrug.

"Um, d-do you want to sit on my lap? God, that sounds perverted. I'm sorry, let me rephrase that."

"Oh, I was thinking if you would like to sit in mine." Taina held her shirt down with one hand and scratched her head with the other. The others started to laugh again. "It's not funny."

Meghan pushed me in the seat and put Taina in my arms. "There, you guys take too long." She smiled and sat back down. "Aww, look at Taina. She's blushing."

Taina had a bright red color on her face while I controlled myself. I place my hand on the table and wrap my arm around her waist.

"Yeah, we're searching for him. No, he's not in here from what I can tell." An old enemy of mine said.

"Fuck." I mutter.

Eliza looked at me and smiled. "What's wrong-"

"Don't." I look around and look to Mike. "Mike, switch me spots. There's a threat here."

Our side quickly let me through, Mike taking my spot. I pull my hood up and put my shades on. My enemy of a coworker walked past and eyed every single one of us.

"Negative." I hear him say into a small microphone.

I sigh and grab my phone. I quickly search for a different frequency and IP address and lock in on the conversation.

I turn up the volume and set it in the middle of the table. "Guys, that was someone I worked with. He sounds like he's trying to take me back."

"If you find him, bring him to me. He shall get a reasonable punishment for his escape.... Angelo? Nah, forget him. Leave him to die." My so-called 'uncle' chuckled. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go get him!"

I turn off the audio as the grunt made another sweep. He looked directly at me and nodded.

"How's it going, partner?" I greet in my new accent.

"Very well." He simply said before walking away.

Everyone was quiet as we got our drinks. Taina made her way back on my lap to "not hurt Grace," which doesn't explain why she was still nervous.

"What can I get for you guys?" A waitress in a 50s style outfit asks. Everyone else makes their choices as I still stare at the ever-growing menu. "And you, sir?"

"Can I start with a coke and the Big Moe's platter?"

"Yes you may. Will that be with your girlfriend?" The waitress asked.

"Oh, she's not-"

"Yes. We'll have the same thing, right babe?" Taina stepped on my foot and smiled.

"Yep." I say in a strained tone. "That'll be all for now." The waitress nodded and left. "Fuck you, that hurt."

Taina put her hand on my cheek and started babying me. "Did I hurt you? I'm sorry, do you want me to kiss the booboo?"

"I wanna take you off my booboo, that's what I want." Everyone laughed and kept talking. "You're lucky I love you." I whisper.

"Baby, you know you couldn't resist me." Taina chuckled and laid her head near mine.

"Correction: you fell for me, not the other way around."

"Whatever floats your boat, honey." Taina chuckles and sat up.

We were handed our drinks as the waiter left for the appetizers. Taina grabbed my shades and put them on for herself.

"How do I look?" She asked.

"Like a fallen angel." I whisper.
