Ghostly Love

Chapter 3

*Narration* 

Seonghwa was driven to the hospital in an ambulance and his members followed closely behind in the group van. They arrived at the hospital and Seonghwa was rushed into emergency care. It took a while to get him signed in, but once that was done, they all took a seat.

Meanwhile, Seonghwa was going in and out of consciousness while doctors were trying to figure out what was happening. As this was happening, Seonghwa's phone was blowing up. 

myaurora: What?

myaurora: Seonghwa are you okay?

myaurora: Seonghwa this isn't funny

myaurora: Answer me please

myaurora: I'm hoping you're at practice or something

myaurora: SEONGHWA

myaurora: I'm going to go to sleep. Please answer me by morning... 

Aurora felt a bad feeling in her gut and hoped Seonghwa would be okay. The doctors realise Seonghwa is awake and ask him how he feels. He can barely speak and he passes out for the last time that night. The doctors come out to see a group of nervous boys, still in stage outfits, waiting pensively for some good news. The boys and managers all look up hopefully and see the doctor's solemn expression. Their hope fades away instantly.

"Well it's bad news, but it's also good news," the doctor starts, "He's in a coma, but when he wakes up, he'll be healthy. We don't know how or why this happened. He's in completely perfect health. We're going to monitor him daily." 

"Are you sure he'll wake up?" Hongjoong asks with a slightly sedated tone.

"No, we aren't sure if he'll wake up. We don't even have an estimated time period relating to how long he'll be out. All we know is that if he does wake up, he will be okay," the doctor slowly replies.

 The managers look at each other, wondering what they're going to do. ATEEZ look at each other, wondering what to tell the fans. The doctor takes a step back and heads to the room Seonghwa is in to continue attempting to figure out the problem. The managers take ATEEZ back to their dorm and return to the hospital to check on Seonghwa.

"Did you guys figure it out?" the manager asks quietly. 

"No, however, I believe it's tied to fatigue. Judging by his lifestyle, he might not have much time to rest," the doctor replies, "We'll try to have an answer by morning. For now, you can go home and get some sleep."

Seonghwa's manager nods and leaves to go home. 

*Next Morning*

KQ Entertainment released a statement at 6:00 AM. It stated as follows:

To ATINY;

We are regretful to inform that Seonghwa will be excluded from all group activities including fansigns and concerts until further notice due to health complications. He is currently receiving intensive treatment at the hospital. Do not worry, as it is under control. He hopes to see you all soon.

The fans' response was a big one, and many hashtags started to surface, wishing Seonghwa a speedy recovery. Once Aurora got the news, her heart dropped. She started calling Seonghwa's cellphone and got no response. She called Hongjoong, who picked up almost immediately.

"Hello?" the boy tiredly accepts the phonecall.

"Hi Hongjoong, it's Aurora. I just seen the news about Seonghwa. Please tell me you know what's going on.." she frantically starts.

"I don't. Not even the doctors know. They just know he'll be okay when he wakes up," Hongjoong sighs.

"Wakes up? What is that supposed to mean?" Aurora begins to panic again.

"He's in a coma. We don't know how long it'll last. We don't know why he's in a coma. I have to go," Hongjoong feels his eyes start to fill with tears, just talking about what's happening.

"Okay. Bye Hongjoong. Take care of yourself and the boys okay? Try to update me on Seonghwa," Aurora replies.

"Bye," Hongjoong hangs up.

Once he hung up the phone, Hongjoong felt a strong feeling of pain go through his body. He starts crying and asking himself what he could have done to keep Seonghwa healthy. Could he have payed attention more? Should he have told Seonghwa's manager to let him rest? 

On the contrary, Aurora was adamant on figuring out what might be wrong with Seonghwa. She knew that he was feeling drained after concerts. She knew he would progressively feel weaker each time. She wondered if it was the sudden fluctuation of adrenaline or if it was just because his body shut down and those were the warning signs. 

Aurora didn't know what to do, so she called her grandma. Her grandma has always been good with medical things. She was familiar with spiritual causes of situations like this and Aurora has always trusted her guidance. Her grandma picks up, knowing instantly what the call is about.

"Aurora, it's been a while since you called me out of the blue. How are you?" her grandma asks cheerfully.

"Hi grandma. I've been okay.. you?" the girl asks, trying to hide her worry.

"I'm alright. What are you calling for?" her grandma smiles.

"It's Seonghwa. He's slipped into a coma. The doctors don't know why so I thought maybe it's a spiritual occurrence?" Aurora speaks quickly.

"From what you've been telling me, I seen this coming. He's a celebrity. He has no time for rest; mentally and physically. He's deprived of care not just from himself but from other people. He needs love," her grandma lets out slowly, "He'll be in that coma until he feels genuine love."

"What can I do about that, grandma? I want to help him," the girl questions.

"Nothing. He has to find genuine love. Only he will know what he sees in the coma. He will come out of it when he's spiritually awakened," her grandma calmly replies.

"So we just have to wait?" Aurora asks, unsure.

"Indeed. Just make sure he's taken care of on the outside. His mind will do the rest," her grandma finishes.

"Okay, thank you so much grandma. I'm going to tell his group members. I love you," Aurora smiles quickly.

"I love you too, dear. Goodbye," her grandma hangs up.

Aurora quickly calls Hongjoong back to explain what her grandma said. He agrees to relay the messages to the boys and the managers. Now, all they have to do is hope and wait for Seonghwa to wake up.
