An Ending

"Don't Worry she's being taken care of by some of our men and she will be heading to the hospital soon..I must say she seems to be in a a lot of pain..."The commander reassured Shadow.

"I need to see her.I'll talk with you later commander!"Shadow skates off to find Rouge.

Soon he stumbled upon two soldiers asking if she could count their fingers as she laid weakly in the grass.

"Rouge!Are you okay!?"Shadow ran time her and fell in his knees to level with her slightly.

"Sh-Shadow?Oh yeah....I'm Ok.."She smiled a small smile.

"You sure?Your face looks like everything hurts.."Shadow frowned.

"It's just my back that's all!Ngh!...and I can't really move my legs..."Rouge flinched the soldiers began lifting her up.

"Where are you taking her?"Shadow asked.

"We're taking her in one of the trucks until the ambulance arrives.."One of the soldiers responded.

Shadow nodded.

Soon the Ambulance came and took the injured soldiers.The rest drove back to base but Shadow Skated back to victim's unit to see Y/n.And then they could visit Rouge.

Your POV:

I was watching TV on the couch in my apartment.I was upset because I was worried about Shadow and Rouge.I hoped that they were ok and nothing serious happened.As I continued to nervously ponder I heard a knock at my door.

"Huh?"I looked at the door then got up.

I looked through the peep hole and spotted him.I smiled widely in relief and pulled the door open.
I gave Shadow a big hug as he stepped in and embraced him for a few minutes.

"You caught them right?"I smiled at him.

"Of course.You would have to be dreaming if they got away..."Shadow smiled at me and I kissed him softly.

"So..Everything's back to normal now?"I looked at him.

"Yes,but Rouge...got hurt.."Shadow averted his eyes.

"Oh no!What happened to her!?"I asked with a worried expression.

"Scourge tossed her through a tree in super form and her back might be injured..She's at the hospital.."Shadow sighed.

"Well let's go see her!I want to know if She's alright!"I grabbed Shadow's arm and we left to the hospital.

Third Person POV:

Once you both got to the hospital and to Rouge's room you both sat next to her.She was sleeping in a hospital bed.As you both sat down Rouge opened her eyes slightly to see who it was and then opened them widely happy to see you both.

"Sh-Shadow!Y/n!"She exclaimed.

"Rouge are you alright!?Nothing's broken is it!?"You asked holding he hand.

"I'm alright now...I just got back from an X ray and they gave me some pain medication.."Rouge smiled.

"That's a relief.."Shadow said.

Soon the doctor walked in with a clipboard and Rouge's X ray results.

"I may have some bad news..."The doctor frowned and handed Rouge her X-Ray.

Rouge's eyes went from happy to mortified.You and Shadow noticed her expression and asked what was wrong.

"It appears the Rouge here has a fractured Spine.If she had gotten hit one more time in the same area she got fractured,Her spine would be broken and she would be dead..Luckily and thankfully that's not the case..but she is paralyzed from her middle back and down.."

You Shadow and Rouge's face sunk.

"W-will she ever be able to walk again!?"Shadow asked worriedly.

"I'm not completely certain but usually after a long period of recovery and physical therapy she should be able to walk again but not as swiftly.She May have trouble with walking sometimes but she should be able to move everything again from the middle back and below.."The doctor replied.

Rouge sighed and frowned as he stared at her X-ray results.

"Although she will have to wear a back brase for 11 weeks and have 5 weeks of physical therapy..Once she leaves the hospital about a week from now."The doctor informed you all..

"Ok...we understand.."Rouge looked at the doctor.

He nodded and left the room.

Everyone was quiet for a moment.Until you said something.

"It's ok Rouge..everything will be ok..You'l be back up walking in no time!"You tried your best to cheer her up.

She smiled with sadness in her eyes.

"Thank you Y/n.."She whispered.

"And Once you get back walking again you'll get the chance to kick that red piece of shit in the balls.."Shadow smirked.

"Shadow shut up.."Rouge giggled.

So,After everyone found out about Rouge being in the Hospital knuckles texted Rouge saying that he hoped she was ok and he loved her.Shadow obviously tried to to text-cuss him out but Rouge stopped him and she and Knuckles made amends again although they did not get back together.After Rouge's recovery she began to walk again,she would have some minor problems walking but she could still walk and that's all that made her happy.As for you and Shadow,you both decided to take it slow considering you've only known eachother for a small period of time but you two still were working towards a romantic relationship.

Everything was back to normal and you lived happily with Shadow and Rouge.
