"-and then my mother said that I had to go and clean it because I was the first person who saw it, but I told her I wasn't going to clean that I have things to- Light? Are you even listing to me?" I said while poking Lights cheek lightly.
He turned on his heel and walked the opposite way of the gate, I noticed that he picked up a notebook.
"Is that yours?" I question walking up behind him.
He turned it over and it read: Death Note.
"Death Note? As in a notebook of death?" Light slightly questions.
"Let me see!" I said while I grabbed it and looked at the cover closely," I mean it's pretty cool I guess. Is it yours? I question again.
"No, I just saw it." He said while opening the notebook and looking inside.
I was a tad bit curious so I stood on my tippy toes and tried to see what was inside as well.
"How to use it? The human whose name is written in this notebook shall die," Light said quietly so that only I could hear.
"What? What kind of prank is this?" I said as Light places the book back down on the ground.
"Your just going to leave it?" I question him.
"It's pretty lame, not to mention twisted." He says.
"It's guess your right." I said back to him.
"It's also really not that different from one of those chain letter you get. 'The human whose name is written in this notebook shall die'? Come on." He said as he continued to walk.
I followed closely behind him, but then he stopped and looked back at the notenook.
"You ok?" I question before he went back and grabbed the notebook. "I thought you-"
"Might be interesting also if this gets into the wrong hands, we be at blame." He explained.
"Oh yah, if you put it that way." I said as we walked out if school.

"Bye Light, this is my stop. See you tomorrow!" I wave at him and start to make my way home.
I felt someone grab my arm and I turned around to see it was only Light.
"What is it?" I said as I looked at him confused.
"It's uh, I want you to find out the truth behind this notebook with me. Um, come to my house." He said scratching his neck with his other hand.
I blushed at him words, you see I've had a crush on Light since as long as I can remember. He's been their for me since day one and has never really left my side. I also don't think he feels the same way because their are a ton of girls already in love with him. He's pretty popular.
"Uh yah, sure. Why not." I said also scratching my neck in embarrassment.
We then made our way into his house and into his room. Light also made sure to lock his door incase someone walked in on us.
As I got comfortable on his bed, he started "The human whose name is written in this notebook shall die. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the persons face in their mind when writing his or her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen. If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack. After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 6 minuets and 40 seconds." Light says.
